Need some friend advice

Some of you may remember the girl I am friends with and telling her about how I felt about her. If you also remember that turned into well lets stay friends. No problem as she already had a bf and I was enjoying going dancing with her.

Things have started to go south, about four days ago I get a call to come over and take a look at the families computer sense I am the guy that works on them. When I turned it on I knew what the problem was, it was a hard drive failure. So I told them what could be done and they decided to get a new computer. The mother who we know as well asked what I recommend. I showed her three choices for what I recommend. She said great I will get the middle one sense it was a middle price range. She said I will call you in a few days to come set it up. I also recommended getting a wireless router for her daughter to be able to surf the web wirelessly. The family tried doing that before but they did not know how to get it working. "DSL is tricky sometimes"

So I called yesterday to see if they had gotten the new computer. Apparently Sarahs bf said he would hook everything up. I as well say them last night and they were out looking at routers. He must of seen the list of the items I recommended because I asked what they were looking at and that is the one he mentioned.

Now I try not to be an *** but here is how I see it. I do not charge them anything, he is a 4th grade tacher I believe and how I am seeing it, he wants me as far away as he can get me.

Side note went line dancing last friday and he never said hello to me when I approached them. Now he is great to her and she likes him.

So if I go saying anything it will make me look like an ***. Almost a catch 22. So what should I do? I do not want to block myself in as calling him out on not knowing how to configure a router for dsl or anything but at the same time I know he is not going to remove the trial software or that he has a copy of office to put on there.

Any suggestions?

They decided to let him do it. I would just let it be. Its always better to be aloof. And yeah he probably feels threatened by your closeness to his GF. If your friend is really a friend, she will notice his iciness and you'll look even more of a man.

:iagree: give him enough rope to hang himself. In the meantime, find a new girlie and stay friends with that one.

Actually just started a new relationship the other day. But your right let him string himself out the truth will be heard or seen soon enough. Thanks I feel better already.

Your best action is to steer clear of her and her family for a while.

Do your own thing, meet some new girls, otherwise you are always going to be 'waiting in the wings' for her relationship to fall apart, and feel crappy every time you hear about her BF.

Being friends with a girl who has a boyfriend sucks, I don't know why anyone would put themselves through it,.

Seriously,

Take some time apart... find another girl who likes to go dancing and when she asks you again to go dancing ask if you can bring a date... Honestly, if she likes her bf anything you say or do will make you look like an asss... if he fcuks up be ready for the phone call. There are so many women out there and you will have more fun living life then waiting for the girl to come around to you. You will stay depressed if you hang around. If it is meant to be she will see you for the great guy you are and when opportunity strikes you capitalize.

A large bottle of cheap vodka and a slightly older hooker who knows what she's doing.......but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, it's about managing your money while appreciating quality. So, you either go with cheap booze and expensive women or expensive booze and cheap women.

Have a GF that is not a problem, my x even went dancing when they were together. No biggie about the GF thing. I will just let him turn into a jerk himself. I do not miss her for dating but just a friendship.
