What's up fellas. I have been counting down the days to GT5!. Got my pre order at best buy as well! Can't wait to get my hands on this jewel.

New date is rumored to be December 23, 2010. I don't know about you guys, but this is a failure of a release date in my books.

I was hoping to buy GT5 and a PS3 for myself on my birthday. But I hope GT5 at least comes out before Christmas but I'm not holding my breath.

they always delay the release date. must be some sort of marketing mind control bull.

No I think this time it's not just marketing. They didn't have presale for the other rumors in the past years which leads me to think that they were really planning to release it in Nov.

This delay was done because of sales. The PS3 was recently hacked and the firmware they had in GT5 was the hacked firmware. So they have to update the software so that it will require a higher firmware than the hacked one.

The worst part is they got us all excited with that crap Prologue that they gave us which didnt even have the tuning aspect of the game. Now another 2 month wait, sheesh. Im doubtful we'll even get it in January. I read an article somewhere, it was a Q and A with the main designer of the game. He was asked if he thought we would have to wait until 2011 to get our hands on this game. His answer, "I highly doubt that will happen" Well, here we are. Doh!

Prologue isn't meant to be a complete game. Gran Turismo Prologues have been coming out in the past.

So i wonder how long it will take for them to stamp a couple million copies. Prob another 6 months? Sorry for the negativity but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

I know but they hyped it so much like it was the next big gran turismo game. But ya you're mostly right.

Now they're saying January 1st, 2011.We better get some bonuses for this crap... I think Sony is taking its faithful customers for granted with this one.

They only people "saying" anything are the retailers, who project next month, the month after etc. Really they don't know anything more than we as consumers know.

Kaz said yesterday the discs are beings stamped as we speak. Who knows when they started stamping them. Probably a couple weeks ago looking at the timeline of the delay. From going gold to the store shelf is about a month long process. So here before the holidays as Sony stated.

And they are not giving a release date anytime soon I would guess. They wouldn't want to burn everyone once more. They will announce the release once it's on the way to distribution.

and ya, prolouge was just a demo of GT5. Each GT has a prolouge pretty much. It's the arcade version of GT with few cars.
