Ken Block Gymkhana THREE Part 2
|
nice!
|
I would love to see the out takes.
|
here's a stupid question - he's got 3 pedals, one of which i'm assuming is the clutch (1:18), but then he's also using paddle shifters... i've never seen a car with both - is it truly a manual tranny or is there no clutch and it's automanual?
|
no doubt he knows how to whip that thing around, but when the guy can ever place in the top 20 in a WRC race, then he'll have my respect!

its such an amazing video....so much glorious noise...
the damn thing goes 0-60 in 1.9...i guess that's what putting over 600hp in a fiesta will do...those engines they put in Block's fiesta can handle 850hp, but they tuned it down for what Block needed....I would love to see it in 850hp form.... as far as the transmission goes, I believe its a manual sequential transmission that uses paddles to shift. Its not a dual clutch setup, hence the need for the third pedal. helps him keep his hands on the wheel, the only time he took it off was for that monster handbrake haha. never thought i'd want a Ford...but I want that one. |
I wanna learn to do that!

Interesting write-up that tells about some of the technicalities of the video:
Ken Block unveils 'Gymkhana THREE, Part 2' - ESPN http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2010/0914...block3_576.jpg The bank is so extreme the car had to be held by a strap for the above picture. |
