Need Help Planning a small trip

So this December I am planning on taking my GF to NYC for a one night stay or maybe even two night. "Surprise"

She has never been there and I have been there at least 4 times.

I plan on taking her to a Broadway show and or the new york city rockets.

Also take her out to dinner a few different places and if we can go to the statue of liberty.

What are some good hotels around that area to stay at?

What should I budget for other than food and shopping?

Other fun things to do other than walk threw the park and ice skating?

Tips or recommendation please:tup:

Depends on how much you want to spend. A mid-town hotel close to Time's Square would be cool.

That is what I am trying to figure out, what should I plan to spend. That would be nice around time square.

53rd and 6th is really good for food. Get the combo. Its a good place for quick food being its a street vendor but its prob one of the best things I've had here.

Hotels I couldn't say since I dont need to ever stay in them. I take the 6 train from the BX here to Manhattan. I can do some research and I know people in Manhattan who would know that I will see tomorow.

There is TONS of stuff to spend on other than food and shopping. Intrepid, you can go to a Rangers game (the Garden is awesome and known as the #1 arena in the world!!!), the Bronx Zoo, Museum of Natural History, Stat of Lib, Central Park, Times Square, Ground Zero, helicopter tour over the city....I can go on and on and on bro.

The budget is the issue. I think the Intrepid is what like $20 a person or something tops? Rangers game is like $20 a person if you're up on the 3rd level depending on who they play, the rest I dont know because a lot of it is tourist stuff to be honest and I dont travel to those much. But hotels will run you prob like 100 something a night.

Thanks, I am trying to think of thins to do other than the normal stuff.

Statue of liberty I kno we are going to see central park is another so is time square. Also going to see a show either NYC rockets or something like the lion king

The tree OF CORSE!! we are going to see it me and her love christmas so this should be great. I found a nice hotel for 320 a night at the one I was looking at earlier. I also think going toward the middle of the week will be better for traffic and for less of a crowd.

lol you're going to hit a lot of traffic during the week. You really cant get away from traffic.
