worst car i driven is my 1990 Pontiac Grand AM Sedan, it was so badly built...lol
such a retarded design..... but it kept on running on the same oil for 30000KM's....
dip stick was so rusty, foam in the oil..... tires were bald.... the hell it with.

i didnt bother taking a pic of it...haahahaha

on the other hand, i have a 1989 Pontiac 6Baller which is totally the opposite... drives pretty good, very well built engine... super duper easy to fix.

then i have the G, which is in another league.....lol

I had a cousin that bought an '87 Hyundai Excel and the same thing happened.

Ford Tempos 80s vintage were really bad ! I spent sooo many hours in my bud's tempo back in high school - totally sucked! radio was utter crap too

I owned a 1983 camaro berlinetta w/ 5 speed back in junior year of high school... piece of crap only had a 2.8l chevy motor with 5 cyclinders working at any given time... I stuffed some 16" IROC wheels on with 255 goodyear tires which punished the suspension and steering so badly i replaced tie rods it seemed like every 3 months... it showed well with the wheels and new paint and chicks digged it, but utter garbage

1981 Toyota Pickup "Ol Blue"
Man this thing was a piece. The one in the picture has a cap on it but ours didn't. Ours was all dented up and rusted too. It was converted from a 5 speed to an automatic before we bought it. I had to use both feet when driving to keep it from stalling. No power steering = sucky. I definitely made a good impression with the ladies showing up w/ that thing to school. LOL...yeah right

1991 Chrysler LeBaron

The convertible roof was torn and the back window was hot glued into place.
The side windows leaked, so when it rained I literally had a few gallons of water where the top sits down.
Oh yeah, the automatic convertible top was me using pliers to detach the top from the body of the car and having to force it down.
The little back windows didnt work, so they were in an upright position all the time.
The motor had bad lifters and made this horid "tick tick tick tick BAM" sound and got faster and louder with higher RPMs.
The car was an ugly blue with rust spots.

Doing valet parking gave me all kinds of car horror stories, but the worst car I ever had to endure was a Subaru Rex.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...u_Rex_1986.jpg

I was living in Japan and driving a Honda (US Acura) Vigor, which is a large car by Japanese standards. However, anytime I took it in for service, they'd loan me whatever was available. Once I got the pleasure of driving a Subaru Rex for a weekend. At 660 cc, the engine was about 1/4 the size of the Vigor's and the Subaru's 42 hp was about 1/5 that of the Vigor. Not to mention, I could look out the windshield and see the ground directly in front of the car. I drove it home and parked it for the weekend.

A 1986 Nissan Multi was probably the worst car I've ever driven:

Years ago there was a Renault/AMC "marriage" that produced a monstrosity called the 'Encore'.

My buddy and I rented one when out in Colorado sking. Granted, high altitude, but this POS would slow down to 40mph whenever it hit an uphill grade, even a grade as small as 1%. Sorry no pics.

We renamed the Encore the "Uncar".

1slow370 09-29-2009 04:13 AM

88 firechicken automatic. Headers, valvebody mod, sport suspension, sound system, and body work still couldn't make that thing good. that or my 98 pymouth neon beater but that car's kinda fun in it's own way so it's a tie.

I drove an '89 Dodge Colt with about 300,000 miles on it. I inherited it from Grandpa. It had a hole in the floor, Smelled like dead animals and kitty litter. I crashed it through a deck too so it was pieced back together with parts from pick-a-part.

All in all though it was a beast of reliability not pretty but it always worked

Worst car I had to drive was a Geo Metro that my wife brought into our marriage. It's a good thing I could see past the car she drove at the time because I hated that thing. After we got married we traded it for a Subaru Legacy Wagon, complete with some rust. Much better car :)

Liniment, KY jelly, farts, sweat, hairspray and pancake makeup. That's my uneducated guess.

Well about 5 weeks ago we were driving in his car and the front left tire blew out. Now that he has a new tire and it it balanced it runs a lot better. :rofl2:

I have driven a lot of piles of crap but it was more due to improper care/setup/maintenence than the car itself. Worst car that I have driven without any mechanical defects/alignment issues/etc. has to be a 1997 Nissan pickup. My dad bought it to have a truck around the house and I rocked it for about 3 months while my car was in the shop at the time. Completely gutless, rough ride, power nothing, and an incredibly cramped cab. I am only 5'10", pretty average, and with the seat all the way back I was still uncomfortably close to the steering wheel/pedals.

91 Ford Taurus - had it for a few years during and after college. Haven't owned a ford since.

The elusive "Grasshopper"! I knew someone who had one of these.

Worst car - scouped

92 Hyundai Scoupe MT. Bought new and lasted 32k fearful miles. That was before the million mile warranties they started offering. Rattles came standard. Oh, yeah, that hot red sports car that never was.

Worst car I've ever driven is a ~1991 Buick Skylark. I'm not sure if the car hated me as much as I hated it.

Believe it or not, one of my favorite cars of all time was a 1989 Mercury Tracer. I LOVED that car!!!

Was the Skylark on fire in that picture?

The tracer..I believe it was really a Mazda, which would explain why it was a good car.

I had one of these, bright red. Mine was the sport version, LOL. Had a 2.0L 4-cylinder motor, and I bolted on twin-SU carburetors. Had a 5-speed gearbox with Porsche gear pattern (dog-leg first). A straight exhaust made it pretty loud. The girls actually liked it.

geargrinder 10-24-2009 07:19 PM

Dodge Magnum R/T. Every time you stepped on the accelerator pedal the fuel gauge would drop. And for all the noise and fuel usage, the car really wouldn't go anywhere. To make matters worse, when trying to steer around a corner, the ***-end would come spinning around to the front. I guess "bro's" have to have something to drive other than their trucks.

Jquad 01-05-2011 01:40 AM

I had a 78 Rally Sport Camaro w/ a built 350, new paint black on red when I was 16. It last one month before I totalled it and Dad saw fit to give me a mustard yellow datsun b210 that had 3 cylinders working, blew gobs of black smoke and was just generally embarassing to drive around in. While I hated the car, it forced me to learn to work on it and I got to (begrudgingly) admire it. It is also began my love for the 260z which in turn led to me getting my 370z.

ky0u 01-05-2011 03:48 AM

My friend's 2001 Camaro.

Loft, squishy suspension inspired no confidence whatsoever and made taking every turn above 40mph a butt-clenching experience

weird, stiff driver controls (stalk and hazards)

clunky, tempermental transmission. Randomly grinded for no reason. Clutch was terrible, and throws were massive

incredibly large and heavy. Car was a drunk elephant

Steering was numb...til the power steering broke. Then driving the thing in the city and parking lots became a work out

interior fell apart randomly

v6 engine was terribly underpowered for a car of that size

and the list goes on

:]

Lemers 01-05-2011 07:28 AM

A 1972 toyoda corolla. It was a hand me down from grandma to older brother to me. I drove it my junior year to high school and it was the worst car in the lot. My brother had stripped ever bit of radio out of it so I used a portable stereo in the back seat. Holes in the doors, dash and back deck made it look classy.
