no, just not a fan of lame jokes

my dad has a new sonata and i like that car a lot honestly. it gets great fuel mileage, it's quiet and comfy and looks great imo. i noticed, mostly due to my dad's neglect i'm sure, that the interior doesn't seem to be wearing well though

Yeah that can be said for any car, don't take care of the interior and it will fail.

very true. having worked at a dealership, i've seen lots and lots of different cars at different states of wear and tear. the ones that always impressed me were volvo interiors. they just seem to hold up forever. i take great care of my truck but the plastics scratch really easily and the drivers seat is starting to show wear even tho i'm very careful getting in and out not to rub my fat *** across it. i've gotten in volvo's with 250k+ miles that looked brand new inside. leather was still in great shape, plastics looked fine, nothing looked faded or chipped, etc.

While I was at the dealer, my friend was telling about this G37 that only has 6k km on it and the tires were finished. Lol that's just crazy, beating a new car!!!

....and then the lady showed up, bought something and drove out like a bat outta hell. She crossed like 3 lanes while drifting out of the parking lot.

:icon18: No wonder the tires were done after 6k km.

Lol that was just insane.

When I took the same exit out of the parking lot, I was scrapping and rubbing. This woman just flys right out lmao.

b1adesofcha0s 11-02-2011 10:57 PM

She must watched Fast and Furious one too many times :icon17:

HKYStormFront 11-02-2011 11:10 PM

Lemers 11-02-2011 11:15 PM

Just was at the park when a group came through "cruising". They all had the blue headlights and high pitched aftermarket exhaust. Mainly Honda hatchbacks but the was an MR2 and G35. Oh and one of those toaster cars.

HKYStormFront 11-02-2011 11:18 PM

scion XB? i call em refrigerators on wheels

Lemers 11-02-2011 11:24 PM

I still have no idea how those box designs got off the drawling board, or even became that popular. They are designs I would have exspected to come out of a communist country.

HKYStormFront 11-02-2011 11:33 PM

they were honestly pretty versatile and had a ton of room inside. i'd never own one but i get why some people like them. they aren't horrible to drive like other cars in that segment (i'm looking at you PT Cruiser...)

Kids these days don't care about performance or style, and parents care about cheap. Safest shape is a square right? So it's cheap, safe, and powerless...

However though, with the right system in them, the acoustics are amazing.

Lemers 11-03-2011 07:20 AM

Kids do care about style. There are whole industries setup to sell directly to kid and teens. That shows that they have their own style. I am not like it or understand it but it's still their style.

b1adesofcha0s 11-03-2011 07:50 AM

I hate the stupid box shaped cars. They're so ugly!

Lemers 11-03-2011 08:23 AM

:iagree:

b1adesofcha0s 11-03-2011 08:26 AM

There they go again closing mustang threads. Trip closed the thread and has a link sending everyone here. I guess the Mods are trying to tell us that mustangs are useless.

XwChriswX 11-03-2011 03:01 PM

And there goes another good thread... :shakes head:

red6spd 11-03-2011 03:03 PM

Lets get this one locked. When Red_Zed refers to they as in they found my IP address I would like to know who gave it out since AK told me that they could not get any info on who made the account over at Bimmer Fourm. Oh and if I do find out who is going around giving out IP Address I will be forced to do something about it.

blue660r01 11-03-2011 03:04 PM

haha @ kris

i kinda see their (the mods/admin) point of view but some level of shenanigans should be allowed, maybe that's just this thread and the OG conference room? i'm not sure but getting rid of the tags is BS. those were always fun and entertaining. isn't that why we like forums instead of all just talking on facebook?

XwChriswX 11-03-2011 03:04 PM

If this thread gets locked, then it's pretty ridiculous why the others got locked.
