You could be right about the enlisted thing (army a lot more strict than AF on fraternizing). But I havent even excepted the friend request my boss sent last week.

Officers are in command positions, and they don't want them ever being too friendly with those they are commanding, or even other enlisted members.

Look at it like this, say an officer and an enlisted member were gambling, and the officer won... Then take those same two and put them in combat and the officer having to order the enlisted member into a situation that costs his life...
