hmmm... yeah... heard of a couple of marines getting GTRs ordered to arrive at the dealership about the same time they were supposed to come home :)

You know I respect the performance part of it. These cars put out 400-600 hp from a 4 banger. I just couldn't sink that kind of money into a car that's only worth $3k. Most of these guys end up losing their arse when they try to sell.

My presentation went really well, hope yours did too blue.

The marines getting GTRs are one of those cases for not affording the car. They usually figure out how to pay the car loan but can't afford issuance, maintenance, rent or food.

why do you think there's a trend going on with military guys and getting sports cars after they return?

Divorce kills your spirit.. so you want a nice car to make you feel good about your life again.

I would really be pissed if I was the only one, but no im not.

And also, I had my Z before she decided I wasn't good enough. So one has no impact on the other.

the car makes the situation better. the past is past and one should always focus on the present :) and you presently have a pretty awesome car

If you forget/ignore the past, you're doomed to repeat it. Plus the way my mind is, it never goes away. It's always there reminding me.

No, I'm not like that. It's more of trial and error of situations repeated over and over with every detail changed to see what's the best outcome. Imagine watching as an observer as people enact a scene in front of you. Each time changing one fact. Then finding out the best outcome, and then doing that real time.

blue660r01 08-09-2011 06:24 PM

Chris has a mind worse than a woman. He is on his own level.

to me, it's redundant cuz whatever you're replaying already passed and you can't change the past... so why sit there and replay that sht over and over and over when you could be making new memories and doing other more valuable thing with your time

blue660r01 08-09-2011 06:34 PM

Because it happens along with the present. It can't be stopped, I'm always at 5 places at once... I can't escape the past. I hate the present, and the future isn't looking too promising.

That is my torture.

And some memories... as bad as they may be, are worth holding on to, because for a brief moment, there was happiness. Short lived, but it existed.
