Lol! Well, the Rogue runs the QR25DE right? Same engine that was/is in the Sentra SER spec Vs, so there's a couple kits out right now and with a little custom tubing/intercooler setup and then an UpRev tune, you/she'll be gtg.

A rogue w/300whp, that sounds pretty good to me.

:bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl: im not going for big power.. just like 220-250f/awhp

and that's where I was going to get the exhaust manifold from.. BUT, the whole purpose of the blazer is to test my fab skillz.. so maybe do a tubular manifold for the rogue!

Manifolds are tough. We have a local guy who does machine work for a living. He did his on tubular manifold for his civic and said he wouldn't do it again.

Most smart guys won't touch them. Huge pain, and you never get the flow right.

Yeah, you really have to build a jig and mass produce them to make it worth your while.

Dude, to do one right with all the proper flow characteristics you have to spend 100s of hours in RandD. Building a pos manifold is going to give you a very nice blown motor. Not to mention the cost would be way higher than buying an aftermarket one.

I understand that... but isn't that WHY you do R&D? man, fuck, NO ONE should ever make anything new because it's to hard... pathetic

and I was mostly joking around as I have never made my own manifold.. Im just going to hone out the stock mani's.... but I have never seen someone so quick to be like... that's a dumb idea, smart people don't make their own ****.. lol

I understand what you are saying. I'm simply saying its not worth the time and effort just to do one if it's done the right way.

Well, I do somewhat agree with you on Dan's statement. It was pretty harsh.

Not at all (honestly I didn't realize he built your manis from scratch). You took a chance on a reputable builder who has already put tons of time into turbo kit RandD. It sucks you have had so many issues though.

My manifold is just an M370. I cannot source a Stillen manifold and I'm not paying some ridiculous price from Lutz Performance. I'm done with them. I wasted so much money there and they act like I'm a nobody. They haven't bothered to help me much...you think after spending what I did, they'd do everything to get the car running right.

/\ when I read that, I sounded it out as Randy (Rand D). More power to ya Mu if you're gonna spend 100's of hrs up in randy just to get your manifold right. I hear the AF is cool with that now tho...

FL 4Motion 08-06-2011 12:26 AM

so went to get on oil change at the dealer today for our xterra and ended up test driving one of those new Jukes. I didn't want to like it, but it was a blast to drive that thing around. Based on the mpg and smiles per mile, wife and i are considering trading the xterra on one w/awd.
