iPhone 3gs problem...

My buddy droped his 3gs and cracked his glass so I replaced it for him. This is about the 20th iphone I have replaced cracked glass on. So I took it all apart, broke out the rest of his old glass and put the new glass down. Placed the lcd screen back on gently like alway's and screwed it down. Everything went back together just like usual. Go to turn it on and the backlight doesn't turn on. I could see the screen and the touch work's how it should, just no light. So I replace the lcd and still no backlight. I brought it to apple and they said since I took it apart they couldn't help me, even when I wanted to pay out of pocket. Anybody ever have this problem or something similar?

Have you checked the connectors that connect the display to the board? Might be a bad/loose connection...

Yeah checked them all, even cleaned them. Still nothing.

Did you do a hard reset? I had one that wouldnt light back up after I replaced the glass once but when I did the reset it lit. It was a 3g though
