Looks interesting, I say that because I am not 100% liking the new design. OS 4.0 seems like a solid upgrade for the phone, but will wait to see it in person to judge the new look.

Looks like i'll finally be replacing my original iPhone, provided this thing isn't in the stratosphere for pricing. It's not exactly what I wanted, but it's good enough for me to pull the trigger.

A few things that may or may not be happening, as the article obviously isn't the final product and slim on details. I particularly wanted the phone to be 4G ready, but with the way AT&T's 3G performs, maybe that's a massive pipe-dream.

The big thing I want, is something that will actually never happen, and that's the ability to drag and drop files to it when it's plugged into my computer. I really can't stand using iTunes to put stuff in it.

Edit: Oh, duh, the MicroSIM will probably fix that for me, huh? lol

That would be Micro SIM, not MicroSD. So, no it won't help.

Then yeah, it'll still be a pain to manage. In fact, my hype has already died, and i've decided not to upgrade yet again.

First, by enabling disk use you can drag and drop stuff to your iphone.

Second I love itunes and will neer use any other program. Simply easy to use and find what you are looking for.

If you can move networks look at the Droid Incredible (HTC), top notch and stacks up (if not better) than the new iPhone that is not out.
On the use of iTunes, it is here nor there, you either love or hate the program, you all know my stance on it.

I can switch networks, since my contract is up, but am in no real hurry, since my 1G iPhone is still tolerable to a point.

NOPE, they have the Droid. This has already been discussed here, AT&T has the contract back! ;)

LOL K man whatever you want to think. Even if cingular gets another contract verizon is still getting the iphone.

Ouch, well I have already seen pics of the new one looks pretty nice and can not wait to get my hands on it. After all I am due for a upgrade from verizon, just going to wait it out.

Eh, it happens, and I doubt Apple really cares that much. They already remote wiped the device so no one can even boot it and now they requested it be returned so they will be getting it back.

You kidding? Their iPhone reveal event is ruined; of course they care. I feel sorry for the guy, but won't be surprised if this story has a tragic end.

Ummm, this is not a new product it is just them updating the product. Yes it is a new design and some nice new features (both to Apple), but Apple I can bet Apple does not care enough to do anything to do.
You have to realize, this happens a lot more than people realize within the tech industry. You should see the amount of items that get found from other companies from three months to a full year before the company wants anyone to see it. Also, this design was shown in January already, this was just a confirmation of what we already knew.

Apple wants it back, duh, but the care level I would say is not enough for them to be pulling out any big guns.

Its not worth pulling the lawyers out - cats out of the bag anyway. May as well just move on with their lives and have the "reveal" event anyway.

reveal? what are they revealing, that they came out with a new version of the iphone in the average amount of time that it normally takes to do so? big deal. thats like expecting that a surprise party will actually surprise someone that it was their birthday in the first place.

Dude, they spent a solid hour ******** about how the iPad is magical, for THAT things "reveal". And guess what, it was **** EVERYONE already knew!

Apple is horrible at hiding its secrets, but they treat everything they release like its the most amazing thing ever. If they didnt, people who are die-hard Apple fans wouldnt give a ****.

Verizon Customer Service, prices and plans are the WORST in this area.
