I preorder and only deposit the $5. Ive never picked up at a midnight release because it always a Tuesday and I work for a livin. It just peace of mind that there is a copy there and if not something for me to go apeshit about on the manager.

Oh. And I believe that the best preorder incentive would be early release for preorders. I bet they would break some kind of preorder record on a major release if you got the copy a week earlier than buying on the release date.

Thats the way I think it should be.

Either that or something like, pre-order and get it half price.

Peace of mind? Over a VG? Who cares? If it's in, it's in. If it's not, some other time.

That still wouldn't make me pre-order, as I can just wait a week, a month, whatever. Although it is pretty lol going to a game store and the guy behind you's talking about picking up his pre-order, while you go ahead and buy the exact same game in front of him on line. Oh, but he gets his shiny poaster and custom skin :roflpuke2:

It's not the like preorders cost anything extra and I only preorder games like halo and COD. since the gamestop is in the px it's not out of my way either.

Same here, might have to do that for COD. It's just easier to get to. I wonder if based on a stores Pre-Orders if that determines how many copies they get?

I believe so. The more populated an area the more merchandise will be distributed. Supply and demand kinda thing.

I just don't wanna pre-order, then walk in there and they're sold out.

I know it costs no extra. It just seems foolish to me to pay now for a game I won't see for months to come. And the game industry makes extra, because they can store that dough and make interest on it in the intermediary months.

To each their own, but there are no games that are so important that I need to have them right away, and so badly that I'm gonna put money down months in advance.

The whole practice is funny to me, but if that's what you're into, more power to ya.

Part of the purpose of selling perorders is so the merchandise can be distributed more logically. It's very rare for a game to sell out completely in big markets, but the store may send more to a smaller market if the had a lot of preorders.

Isamu 06-07-2011 06:48 AM

man, in little towns they ONLY get so many copies in addition(if any) to pre-orders

Dzel 06-08-2011 08:50 AM

I hope it has a Zombie arcade set up or something I read somewhere that it wasn't going to be like the rest of the COD games.

Lemers 06-08-2011 02:32 PM

Yeah let's mess with it while it working and everyone likes it.
