What Music do you listen to while driving your Z

Posted this at the Ferrari site. Lots of Fcar owners listen to classical. Not me!

For spirited driving:

Rick Ross - "Push It To The Limit"
James Brown - "Living in America"
Pacebo - "Running up that Hill" (Kate Bush cover)
Billy Idol - "Eyes Without A Face"
Tears for Fears - "Rule The World"
Maybe some fusion also

to name a few

For relaxed driving:

Sting - "Fields of Gold"
Thomas Dolby - "Valley Of The Mind's Eye"
Tori Amos - "Taxi Ride" (or almost any of her songs, she's great)
Steel Pulse - "Roller skates" (reggae)
Peter Gabriel - "In Your Eyes"
and others

and of course, as a musician, sometimes my own material

spearfish25 02-08-2010 10:13 AM

Probably a better post for the Lounge (just a suggestion)

Ferrari owners mostly listen to Classical??? Figures...

I usually prefer the symphony of my engine and exhaust alone.

vipor 02-08-2010 10:16 AM

Yani. That is all. :ugh2:

ncnickusa 02-08-2010 10:16 AM

:iagree: (spearfish25) I like my NISMO Music

Horseface 02-08-2010 10:28 AM

Nitzer Ebb, Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Front 242, Wumspcut, Echo and the Bunny Men, KLF, The Orb for relaxed driving. Basically EBM, Industrial and Gothy stuff with some early '90s Ravey Davey Gravy thrown in. And a lot of Bowie. And Eno.

Hard as f**k London Acid Techno, Darkstep, Dubstep and early Punk when I'm feeling a little 'sassy' behind the wheel. Not that I can get too gassy yet with low revs during break in.

nuTinmuch 02-08-2010 10:29 AM

nutinmuch?s Music Profile ? Users at Last.fm

;)

I listen to either my iPod or Pandora via my Droid.

NYBladeZ 02-08-2010 10:29 AM

I do a variety, it ranges from Tiesto to Metallica (greatest rock band ever!)

Try some Neurofunk while driving the Z at night. It's boss.

Nice. Yeah, I like that early stuff. I used to be involved with the early scene back in London. Goldie and Rob Playford. :) Can't listen to new Drum 'n' bass. It's too compressed and has lost its atmosphere. Shame.

370Zsteve 02-08-2010 10:41 AM

70's punk
80's 90's Alternative / New Wave
Some new wave schitt
Old School Rap
60's stuff, mostly English
Blues
Rockabilly/Psychobilly
some metal, Motorhead, etc

right now listening to The Who - Live at Leeds

Are you familiar with Levi and the Rockats?

Smutty Smith was a good buddy of mine

kannibul 02-08-2010 11:22 AM

Alice in Chains, STP, Soundgarden, AudioSlave, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, ZZ Top, Pantera, Dimmu Birgir, Led Zeppelin. Guns N Roses, Megadeth, Metallica...

That's all I can think of what I have in it, and I still has another disk slot. I love WMA compatable CD changers! :)

IDZRVIT 02-08-2010 12:27 PM

Only two types of music I like: Rock and Roll.

Come to think of it, there hasn't been any music worth listening to since 1990.:icon18:

SophiaZ 02-08-2010 01:17 PM

I like most rock n roll....love the Beatles..but Pink is mostly with me :) I can't help it, I just LOVE that girl LOL

Hell yes to Nitzer(just saw them live about a month ago) and Front 242. Your whole list for that matter. I thought I was the only Z driver out there into the industrial/ebm stuff.

Me, I listen to industrial/EBM, hip-hop, metal or uhmmm NPR. lol

Trance: DJ Tiesto, deadmau5, Ian van Dahl / Anna Grace, Armin van Buuren

Rock: Muse, Keane, Kaiser Chiefs, Hard-Fi, The Delgados, Breaking Benjamin, Smashing Pumpkins, Dishwalla, Poets of the Fall, The Killers, AC/DC, Metallica

and...my random collection of J-Pop  Kalafina being my current favorite. Also - ORANGE RANGE, Jyukai, Do as Infinity, The Pillows, YUI, Yuna Itou

For now, it's basically anything that can drown out that loud as **** noise coming from my ECU lol

6spd 02-08-2010 05:38 PM

I have my MP3 player hooked up now and on it is: Kamelot, Serenity, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Unearth, Dragonforce.

I'll be seeing Kamelot in September. I can't wait. I've been trying to see them for the past couple of years. I'm also pretty psyched for the new album. :)

I've actually been rocking a hoodie of theirs recently, lol.

OldGuy 02-08-2010 06:51 PM

'50's rock 'n roll and doo wop.

Nah, I live for this stuff. I know a few people from Texas into it - Is it popular there? :) I need nasty stuff to drown out all the cheesy R&B and trance people round these parts blast out of their cars.

ejrives 02-08-2010 07:26 PM

deathmetal usually

GingaBreadMan 02-08-2010 08:00 PM

I listen to the sweet music of my two favorite artists Engine and Exhaust. I can't wait until the debut of that great new artists Twin Turbos.

you would like black dahlia murder's first album Unhallowed, which has a At the Gates influence. the iTunes album review even says so!
