Yea, right? And Hawaii has wildfires! It’s a good thing Maui didn’t capsize when everyone ran to the other end of the island. :p

A little off your topic.

As you know, we had a couple of tornado’s come thru the hood. My roof is now leaking so I called a roofer. After he handed me the estimate I asked him what my chances of insurance covering it. He asked me who it was. Told him Allstate.

He said chances are slim and non. :bowrofl:

Are you looking at repairing the area of the leak or an entire re-roofing? How old is the roof?

If the leak is from a tornado, I don't see why the insurance company wouldn't cover repairs and may still be worth a shot on filing a claim.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but on that side of the pond, they call them typhoons, but same phenomenon. CA doesn't usually get hit with those types of natural disasters, but it's still possible since they are right against the water.

Better hurry if they want to build those railroads across the Pacific.

I still don't understand. How is this possible?? It's a tiny island that is maybe the size of central Florida at most and it's surrounded by water!

https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/20/econo...egy/index.html

"The next phase of the Fed’s historic inflation fight is waiting for rate cuts"

The moment the Feds start cutting rates, that would deem the economy as being in a recession.

Yes! Typhoons!
I thought that but didn’t want to appear dumb.

They said it’s toast. Needs a new one. I believe it’s 20 years old but have no way of knowing.
