In the garage already…maybe add some overlays to the reflectors on Vette … maybe cut some trees back…outside is best whatever I decide.
Have fun hiking.

:hello:

Beautiful day. Partly cloudy, low 80's.

First it was gas stoves, then it was washing machines and now 5heyre coming for your hot water heater.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bid...home-appliance

It would be nice to at least have hot water to take a shower with today... And don't get me started on the EV's. The Communists in charge obviously will stop at nothing to maintain complete control of the Serfs. Think or say something they don't like? Off goes your electric.

Good thing they passed a 1.3 TRILLION dollar "infrastructure bill". :gtfo2:

One thing this ordeal has taught me is if any of our enemies want to hurt us the most with the least amount of effort is to hit our antiquated power grid.

Unfortunately, my current lifestyle is not conducive to a sports car. If they ever get rid of those ridiculous dealer markups I would seriously think about it.

Checks all the boxes for a JDM. Beauty is in the eye in the beholder so who
cares. It’s not a $200,000 American super car (c8) and it’s not a rebadged BMW (supra) that you can’t take to a Toyota dealer for warranty work because they won’t work on it. Until you go to the BMW dealer that won’t work on it because it’s a Toyota. Good luck with all that.

Could Nissan have done better? Absolutely! But Nissan as a company has one foot in the grave. We should be happy they actually got this “refresh” to the masses. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last one. They’ll probably come out with an EV on the same platform and that’s when the haters will really scream.

Everyone wanted a cheap, low tech, manual transmission, dependable daily driver. Nissan delivered and the same clowns are whining about it not having enough tech, cup holders, parts bin, and my favorite, an ugly car! When clowns start complaining about the size of the fuel filler door they prove their ignorance.

People are weird…

Well said. Wife and I are big fans of the z34.5. Definitely going to;add one to the stable eventually. And it looks great in person, less so in pics.

We are soooo close to becoming a Communist Country. That’s not hyperbole, that’s fact. They’re not even trying to hide it anymore.

Remember kids, you can vote Communism in, but you have to shoot your way out. Why do you you think they want our firearms so badly?

Not communist, fascist. Even China nowadays, since allowing private ownership of property, stock market, private industry etc is by strict definition, no longer communist, they are a fascist state.

In the USA, we have a defacto corporatocracy. Big multinational business and their interests have bought and paid for all our politicians, on both sides. Our regulatory govt agencies are corrupted and controlled by the interests they’re supposedly policing, epa, fda etc.

Last time it was this bad was the guilded age which I’ve discussed before. It’s in the corporate powers that be interest’s to keep us divided, distracted, and hateful towards each other so we can’t unite and demand reforms and better citizens quality of life, corporate accountability etc. we have that power as a democratic republic but only if the majority of citizens vote for it and demand it of our representatives.

A healthy society needs both. We need super smart eggheads to invent stuff and push our society forward but we also need practical folks to implement those developments in a functional way.

Too many folks are over educated and we’ve become to top heavy so to speak. Our society at some point over the last 30+ years stopped encouraging/respecting blue collar manual labor and pushed the idea that success meant college and a office job.

Or just sit back and let democrats ruin the country themselves.

Chinese influences in our movies, car styles, even the push for EVs to an extent is a direct result of a free market. Companies cater to the richest most powerful consumers and the rest have to deal.

As Americans, this is shocking to us because from 1945 to about 2000ish, the world economy all major corporations catered to Americans bc we were the preeminent economy and world power. They weren’t gonna cater to the ussr bc while they were extremely powerful, they were communist.

The Chinese, saw how that Cold War played out, learned the lessons and went defacto fascist so they could keep their power structure but compete and eventually overtake the USA. Partial thanks goes to good ol Nixon for beginning the opening up of China to global trade.

Realistically, the if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em mantra is the best option.

That means invest in the markets, make $$ for yourself and family regardless of which country runs the world. The USA if we don’t implode over the left right divide, will continue to be an economic powerhouse but we have to learn to share now.

American economic and increasingly military hegemony is a thing of the past. It is what it is.
