He willfully and intentionally crossed into North Korea. Someone please explain to me how he could possibly be considered a POW?

Let that idiot stay there. Who in the world thinks its a better choice to go into North Korea rather than face misdemeanor charges which will see no jail time and just a discharge?

As the saying goes 'Play Stupid Games - Win Stupid Prizes'.
Couldn't agree more.

Also, I'm fairly certain that coronaviruses existed long before Covid-19. It didn't just appear out of thin air - we had to start with something. So to say there is NOTHING natural about it is just ridiculous.

An active military personnel defecting to North Korea…is it touching on treason? Genuine question.

My thoughts: someone escaping inhumane treatment by going to NK just doesn’t make sense, it’s going from bad to worse, unless the person has premeditated willingness to exchange sensitive info for a safe harbour.

If I take a Nissan 370Z and modify it with a terrible body kit and a shitty exhaust, it's still a Nissan at the end of the day.

Mother Nature makes genetic modifications all the time. No different than how Covid-19 was created. Except that it was made in a lab by man instead of over natural time in the environment. Who's to say that Mother Nature couldn't have come up with Covid-19 herself given enough time?

Evolution is one thing. Doing it in a lab is completely different.

Quite the contrary. This is the epitome of artificial, which is defined as, "made or produced by human beings rather than occurring naturally, especially as a copy of something natural."

Viruses have existed for quite some time. The difference between these viruses and COVID19 is the former is naturally-occurring while the latter was artificially created.

As you have stated, "Covid-19 was created", meaning it did not occur naturally. And we don't know if Mother Nature would have created COVID19.

:iagree:

One is natural, the other is man-made (artificial/not natural).

Imagine giving a woman a real/naturally-occurring diamond vs lab-made. One will get you laid plus more, while the other will get you a hard smack to the face.

"Fed officials fretted US inflation might not cool further unless economy slows down."

Not sure how they even remotely think inflation is cooling, as I am paying more and more each month for basic necessities.

Not sure how they think they can control inflation, when Jerome Powell himself admitted "we now understand how little we understand about inflation" in 06/2022.

He wasn't treated badly at all. He made some dumb mistakes in South Korea under the capacity as a US Military member and was/was going to be held accountable for his actions.

Trying to adjust to this salary-pay concept. My brain keeps telling me that I have to keep working and doing money-making activities, but then logic kicks in and tells me I get paid the same whether how much or little I work.

Just for sh!ts and giggles, I decided to text my phone number's neighbors (same number with the exception of the last digit being 1 up and 1 down). One person responded positively and carried out a full convo, while the other seemed to have blocked me....@$$hole.

"Homeowners are tapping into their home equity to get cash."

I've always been a fan of cash-out refinances, BUT, doing it under the right circumstances and not falling for the temptation of falling further into debt.

Generally, it should make financial sense to borrow against your home equity to pay off other super high interest debts, thereby decreasing your monthly outgoing liabilities, BUT, don't pay them off only to use them again and rack up the debt that was paid off by the cash-out refi.

Because in my previous job, I was 100% commission. The smarter I work, the bigger my paycheck. It had its perks, but it kept me on my toes. Each mortgage contract was typically no more than a 30-day close and during that timeframe, I was constantly battling to ensure the deal made it to the finish line.

Going to a salary position and in a different field, it's a significant paycut, but def. a slower pace, no pressure, and I work a set amount of hours. No need to drink 8 Red Bull's (sugar free) a day and I feel like I have a life.

For some odd reason, I do miss the grind.
