I agree and disagree with this. In most of the world, abortion is legal, for various reasons. A woman may have been raped, the fetus might have deformities, the birth might kill the woman, etc. There are very reasonable reasons why someone might want to "kill the child". I'm putting this in quotes because fetus is not yet a child. It could be though.

But yeah, you got a good point also saying that there is a double standard with "my body my choice" when you compare abortions with the covid vaccine. It is a double standard.

Not sure what exactly happened with the dispute but I can tell you this. A lot of police jobs vilify their officers if basically ANYTHING happens with them, especially off duty stuff. Domestic incident? Stripped of your badge and gun until the investigation or whatever is complete, even if the husband/wife is full of ****. Something minor such as stress/anxiety and you try to talk about it? Stripped of your badge and gun. They make you feel worthless. The problem with all of this? Cops don't seek out help BECAUSE of those reasons. You are looked at like a liability and/or something is wrong with you when its usually not the case. Then it builds up leading to incidents of suicide. It really needs to be fixed.


Even with say the drugs tests. Say you get anxiety with flying and are prescribed Xanax and take it only for flying. Pop on a drug test? Stripped of your gun and badge. Tell the medical division you take it because of it even before a drug test? Drug test then stripped of your gun and badge when you pop positive. So ridiculous. All these departments claim "oh we care and want to help you" but when it comes to it they NEVER do.

And I'm speaking from experience. Someone I personally knew took his life.

You can disagree all you want, the world has 195+ countries, and USA is just one of them. And if USA has its own definition of the abortion, it doesn't mean that 194+ other countries have this. Same goes for your constitution. I agree and am happy for whatever your people have chosen, and I'm also happy that each country has their own constitutions.

I'm not going to dive too deep here, but a brief history lesson.

Roe v Wade was an unconstitutional law. Our Supreme court just ruled it so and returned the powers back to the States (50 of them). The federal government never should have overstepped the States own Constitution. It was overreach.

If you don't like your States laws, you can:
1. Vote for people who will change those laws. It's why we have State elections.
2. Move to a State that aligns with your preferred choice of birth control.
3. Have your abortion in another State that will gladly do it.

All the Court did was give those choices back to individuals of the STATES. It's really not a big deal, but don't tell certain people that. Contrary to what these people tell you, it's not illegal to have an abortion in the US. They're letting the majority decide on the issue instead of 9 partisan judges.

And thats what makes this Country the best in the world. For now, anyway.

It doesn't concern me what people do in other parts of the world. I don't live there so I have no say. Oh, and I don't believe taxpayers should be paying for birth control and I also think convicted sex offenders should be chemically castrated. Or executed. I'm good either way.
