Dumb question: change default subscription settings?
 

Hello all,

My membership just got approved, but I've been reading posts here for several months. I have one dumb question. When I start a thread I am automatically subscribed to the thread, but the default setting is no notifications.

I have looked through the user CP settings and I can't find where to change the default to instant notification via email. Is there such a setting?

Not sure how to set the default but you can can change individual notifications by:

Check the subs you want to change (box on right side of listing lines)

Use drop-down menu at bottom of list to change settings.



Edit: To change default, click on "User CP" in nav bar at top of page. Click on "Edit Options" in menu on left side of page. Scroll down a little bit to find "Default Thread Subscription Mode". Use drop-down menu to change setting.
