secret garage

This garage is freaking sweet, wish my hoa would let me put one in.

A Secret Garage

I can't see why any HOA would be against that...unless it involves "adding a new driveway" to access it. I would think that the EPA/city would be more concerned on where the leaking fluids/melting snow would go.

I have a fairly strict HOA and I would guess I could get away with it, provided I did not alter the driveway or build in the city's easement.

If sealed properly the only issue you would run into is that you might leak oil at some point but I would assume if you have the money to build that you can afford to keep your car from leaking fluids.

the ONE way I could get away with adding more garage space. If only my underground soil wasn't a solid rock!

eddieconfetti 01-24-2010 11:41 AM

I wonder what happens if the machine break. Then there is no way to get the car out.

This one's just a Porsche. So he probably just lights his farts with $100 bills.

Home Owners Association, where when you buy the home you sign an agreement in that community to follow it's rules. It is meant to keep people from doing really stupid stuff like leaving cars up on blocks in their driveways and putting pink and purple shutters on their house, but really limits your own personal touches as well. I won't live somewhere where others tell me what I can do and can't do to my OWN home... jmo

Then you just take the Rover that's parked in the normal garage. :icon17:

LETSGOEERS06 01-27-2010 01:57 PM

bigaudiofanat 01-27-2010 03:02 PM

All that for a Porsche to be parked there. Should at least be a Z or better yet a Ferrari.

Ruocco 01-27-2010 03:42 PM

I didn't read all the posts in this thread so someone might have already mentioned it but.....
