There's no definitive answer to this, as though the US has been very close to a default a few times, the US has never actually defaulted on its debts before, and thus, no history/playbook to refer to on a default aftermath.

So IF a default were to happen, this would be a first.

IMO, it wouldn't just be the stock market/retirement funds affected. It would affect everyday life of everyday citizens globally. I don't even want to imagine the potential chain of events that could possibly be set off by a default :shakes head:

Since we seem to be in a Mexican standoff, I’m afraid we’re going to find out pretty soon what happens…

My IRA has already taken a 20% hit since Brandon became pResident. Brandon already said he’s “blameless”. I don’t see this ending well for anyone. Brandon and the Dims are hell bent on destroying this economy and taking the country with it.

Remember when that ******* said he would take responsibility and not point fingers and everyone knew that was a lie?

You're free to go cry elsewhere.

I personally don't think a default will happen. Everyone knows the potential ramifications of a default and history shows it has always somehow been avoided.

Though there is a small possibility of a default, I think there is a higher chance of the debt ceiling raised (again).

I guess I should have quoted your entire post to be clear, thanks for clarifying that need for future. The picture wasn't about the debt ceiling portion of your post (I could be mistaken, but I believe I made that fairly obvious). It was about the need to always say 'Brandon' this, 'Dems' that, 'Republicans' got short changed.
For the sake of again, clarity, the above is not just about the initial post I quoted and responded with my RDJ pic. It was about your constant need to drudge up the aforementioned key words, such as 'Dems'/'Brandon'/'Republicans'. Why, of all places, on a car forum? Is it really that important to you to come back and constantly engage on a forum that specializes in a car that you sold, in order to constantly remind the community that you feel some type of way? You have almost single handedly turned this "off topic" thread into a festival of whines about politics, where no party is better than the other. Both are full of crap and they have been arguing over who's has more nuts in them, while flinging it at the other party.
Anyway, have a great rest of your day, and may you find peace in your future.

Sorry you're mad that Brandon sucks.

In case you hadn't noticed already, this is kinda the OT thread in the OFF TOPIC section. You're free to go to those other sections to avoid it if you want car specifics. So again, cry elsewhere.

Wonder if the crybaby reporter that has been anon just outed themselves.

I assure you I have never reported anyone, admin can check and comment on that here if they so choose.

So, because you don’t want to hear the truth about current events, I’m whining? What are you 12 years old? You stomping your feet and skyscreaming?

We’re discussing something that has never happened to this country before and you don’t like it, so I’m the whiner?

Yea, gotcha… seriously Bruh, put me on ignore, we’ll both be happier. :icon17:

The ***** administration's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, was grilled by CNN on Sunday after the Pentagon revealed that the U.S. made at least a $3 billion accounting error in valuing the weapons that it has sent to Ukraine.

"There was this very bizarre admission from the Pentagon this week of an accounting error that suggested that the U.S. has at least $3 billion that it didn’t know it had that it can use for Ukraine aid," CNN anchor Jake Tapper said.

"That’s a hell of an accounting error. And it provides a lot of fodder to critics of U.S. aid to Ukraine and critics who say there’s not enough oversight going on. Are you concerned about this accounting error?" Tapper asked Sullivan.

Did ***** get his 10% cut? :stirthepot:

But all kidding aside… 3 billion here a couple of trillion there… all of a sudden we’re talking about some real cash!
