Late 70's you could find them anywhere for cheap. Go into a frat house and there would be a bowl of them sitting on a table. :icon14:

Alfie Luda House. Never called them Alpha. :rofl2:

Had some good times with the Tri Sigs and Delt's. Easy to get dates anytime you wanted. Long as you had a car, you was golden. :driving: Most of the girls didn't have a way off campus. You was their way.

Come home from work. Do a couple of odds and ends. Jump in the pool for a while. Fire up the griddle, and cook some burgers, roast some veggies and peppers. It's been a good day.

I know it's not tool day but I went ahead and ordered a bunch of random stuff. The only wrenches I got were a set of slim open end metric, a set of half moon box end metric and a set of S-curve box end metric (about 1/5 of the purchase). The rest is mostly sockets to round out my collection and I got a couple of cool adjustable pry bars (Gearwrench pry bar)

Well, Just about done bush hogging the pasture. One section left and I always do wait a few days until some growth starts so the horses have something to eat when they are out there.

Any luck on finding a new tractor? Any particular brand in mind? HP, 4x4 bucket ?
Been wanting one myself, not a need just a want :ugh2: looked at a kioti and kubota. Mainly those because the dealers are close and service and parts are accessible. Also have New Holland and J Deere in the area.

I already have a Mahindra 2015 compact tractor. It is 4x4 with a front end loader. The front end loader I use all the time. I am cheap. LOL, I am want a 35 to 38 hp one with a cab, A/C, 4x4, front end loader, etc. to add to my collection. They are between 28 to 38k. So, I did what I normally do, hook up my bushog to my little mighty mouse and bushog the pasture. It was cool today. It rained on me some. I just put on a rain jacket and keep going.

Spooler 07-20-2021 01:09 AM

It would be nice to have the bigger one so when I unload 55 gallon drums of fuel the arse end won't get light like mighty mouse does. Looking at another Mahindra or Kubota.

You’ve mentioned “ life time power train warranty “ before, was that a short time incentive or was something that Chrysler used for several years?

I went cheapo to start. Sunex moon and s-curve sets were $20 apiece. Been eyeballing some ratcheting ones from another brand but they're a bit pricey. I'll wait to buy them until I get irritated with the static box end sets on some job in the future.

old guy 07-20-2021 09:07 AM

Was reading in bed late last night and the wife said “ do you hear that “ got up and went down stairs and there’s this loud hissing sound, went in to the laundry room and it’s really loud  the well pressure tank for the well let loose :shakes head:water pouring out of the bottom @ about 5-6 gal pre min. Fortunately the tank is located close to the sump so there wasn’t any water damage.

The only real damage was to the top of my head as I smashed it open on the heating duct :icon14:

Waiting on my buddy to show up and give me a hand….. until then no water.

Forgot to mention everything is located under the house in a crawl space that’s only 4’ high

That sucks pretty hard! Good luck resolving it!

I had something similar, the morning of my wedding. I don't recall now exactly what the plumber did - installed a pressure relief valve or something on our well tank, and put it in the wrong way. So it basically started just spraying water with high pressure into my back room. Megan is messaging me, stuff about the wedding, and I'm trying to figure out how the hell to 1) stop the water, 2) clean up the water. Had no plumbing tools at the time. Got lucky, found out if I bypassed our filtration system, it wouldn't route to that pressure relief valve, so that bought me time to get married, have my honeymoon, and THEN deal with the problem correctly.
