Not sure if I would trust having a valve spring on my oil drain plug for the sake of convenience...I look at it as a POF I can do w/o. With that said, there are very few negative reviews, however, most of them point to leaks and fitment issues. Just be careful... would hate to see you lose an engine from a $30 dollar part. I'd be interested in hearing if this works for you.

Half the fun of changing my oil is whether or not I drop the oil drain plug in the pan or not. :rofl2:

I had one on my 2012 & have one on my 2015. The important thing is to get the correct one for the oil pan, and install it with a new washer. The only drawback is that it does take a little bit of time for the oil to drain. It is a whole lot better than getting splashed with warm oil... and dropping the drain plug. :icon17:

I know when I bought my first one, the locking collar didnt come with it, now they include them.

At the power plant. We put valves on the oil drains of some of the equipment. But we also installed pipe plugs in the end as insurance.

Yeah, it is. It must have heard the rabbit squealing and it's motherly instinct kicked in

I've been rocking one on my car for the past 5 years. Not a single issue with mine. Hell, I think I'm the one that told captain TSA about it initially. They do work well. The newer ones come with safety collars as well.
