I just found the article on the UK ice ban.

Heavily subsidized, to the tune of about 1 billion USD. And the UK only has ~66 million people, roughly 20% of the US. All of us will be fertilizer long before the US goes all electric.

Part of that new law is reducing meat consumption. That's why there is a big push now for meatless burgers, etc. They're trying to get everyone on board with the idea.

As quick charging and farther distances can be had with the tech, it will only be a matter of time before it is faster than if a human had to stop for sleep.

Wonder how many of them will be high jacked? You go through parts of NYC and other places. You stop at a red light. They will cut the lock off the trailer and start to unload it right there. No driver involved. Better target.

Just ran an upgrade on the home computer. It's not going well for the home team. Microsoft may have screwed me. I hate working on computers and I did do it for a living while I was going to school for a while. What a pain in my butt.

Vonnegut wrote about this a while back, wish I could remember the name of the book; but yes, automation is a very real threat. My work place picks machines for the hard work, and humans just to keep them busy. We have a handful of very skilled personnel, and a lot of drones. The trend is accelerating.

Who knows. There will be positions opened up for security teams. Humans will be involved in processes, somehow, long after I am dead and gone.

How the hell did you get to Denver in 14 hours from Pittsburgh? Took me 12:17 from downtown Chicago and I averaged 99.2 mph through the entirety of Nebraska...

Almost none in the first 10-20 years of automated trucks. They will be hub to hub only. From hub to home will still be meat puppets for most stuff and drones for the rest
