SOUTHZZ 09-17-2020 03:22 AM

You know, the more I look at the proto,I like it.
Seems major negative is the grille.May get a redo on the production model.
I kinda think it will not.May be a project for the after market guys.
Wonder what colors will be available?Design may look a bit bland in the usual silvers or black.

BoneZ 09-17-2020 04:03 AM

Funny story: As soon as I bought my '07 Z, I thought I had the best car in the world. And then the next day, they unveiled the 370Z, and I looked at my 350Z and said "you suck".

Really. I thought the departure from the shape of the z32 was pretty extreme, and the z32 was what I really wanted at the time. But the appearance grew on me. I loved my z33, still love my z34.

Morning all, sitting through OSHA training... riveting stuff :ugh2:

Next up, Management Review and training a new person. The fun just never ends! How're things here?

I would rather take an ice pick to the side of the head instead of sitting through OSHA training. :icon14:

I had a stress test done in 2014. That was good. Thinking about doing another one.

If I went that route, my wife would complain; she married me for my beauty, not my personality, and lord knows both of those things are in short supply! :icon17:

OSHA training puts me to sleep in about 30 minutes. I could never stay awake for it. :rofl2:

Doing this virtually is way better. Last year, it was a struggle to keep my eyes open. This year, at least I can keep going on my task list for the day.

I tend to dislike Management Review... under the old regime, it was a lot of 'rahrah' and thin on 'where do we go from here'. :icon14:

I did find out yesterday from the CEO, that my co-worker & I have major input (and the final say) on our new device's form factor and features, to include who will manufacture it. :excited:

My thoughts on the new Z: I’m just not feeling it, not like I did when I saw the Z33 and even more so for the Z34

Depends on the level of management buy-in. At my last company, the meeting was just for show. Here, it's not perfect, but it does (gradually) drive change.

It sounds like you're getting a lot more influence! That's great news!

It's only taken over 9 years....:inoutroflpuke:

When I got here, I started asking hard questions like "Why are we tracking nuts, bolts & screws, when the FAA doesn't?" Their response, 'You haven't been here long enough to ask those questions.' :icon14::icon14:

Now we only track custom made parts and anything with a serial number (either one we assign or one that the manufacturer assigns). It's probably still not perfect, but it's removed about 50% of the paperwork I used to do. I used to have to fill out quantities used, revision of the part and the purchase order the part was aquired under onto a paper BOM. Now the BOM is electronic & I just electronically sign that those are the parts I used.

I wouldn't worry about it. Some old OG wandering through, reading the Z35 thread and stopped in in here to say hello.

Give the tags a little time.

I'm loving the cooler weather here when I run. My 2 mile time dropped by a full minute going from 80 degree weather with high humidity to 70 and low humidity.
