Good morning everyone :hello:
Just read that in the UK by 2030 there will be no more gasoline engines sold in new cars
I expect the US won’t be far behind :shakes head:

How to confine a population to a certain geographical area... mandate the use of electric vehicles, peg the number of available charging stations to handle 25% of the capacity, shutter all but 10% of the gas stations and put them a minimum of 100 miles from any population center. :wtf2:

Next, it will be illegal to use a horse & buggy..... too much methane.......:inoutroflpuke:

I know nothing about the UK power grid, but that’ll never work here. **** CA has rolling brownouts now, how can they possibly think they’ll be able to power even 25% of the population’s cars.

‘Sorry boss, can’t make it in today. Car won’t charge.’

the question is will there be enough EV options by 2030 to make the market viable?

the only EV cars i like are stupid money. the affordable ones are just trash.

No more driving across country. Take you forever because of recharging. Along I70, and I80. I never seen a recharging station at any of the service stations. Only in the bigger cities. And what about the semi's? 90% of goods is shipped by truck.

Battery and charging tech needs to advance before electric cars take over in the US. The UK can manage with electric much sooner do to the fact it's much smaller and has a better public transportation system than we have here.

:iagree:

In the UK. Everything is close together. No traveling more than a mile or two. Here, everything is spread out. Have talked to people from different countries over the years. They all can't believe how big this country is. One guy though he could drive from NYC to LA in a day. :rofl2: I told him it would take over 3 days.

Happy Tuesday everyone :hello:

Got an annoyed look from a Travis County Sheriff as I passed him in the Z with the throttle half open. He didn't hassle me about it :)
