For today’s lesson in Baconology..., Here is the fifth in the series of public service announcements about this fantastic food....

BACON BITS
by the Spoiler

Bacon factories first started 250 years ago

For generations, local farmers and butchers made bacon for their local communities. In England, where it became a dietary staple, bacon was typically "dry cured" with salt and then smoked. In the late 18th century, a businessman named John Harris opened the first bacon processing plant in the county of Wiltshire, where he developed a special brining solution for finishing the meat. The "Wiltshire Cure" method is still used today, and is a favorite of bacon lovers who prefer a sweeter, less salty taste.

...and now back to your regular scheduled programming...

Morning all, have a great day. Try not to get your bacon bits caught in moving gears. That's a pro tip which Spoiler passed to me via PM.

Day 2 of my 2 week vacation. Already bored to death with the new England winter. Was going to save $$ to spoil the Twin-zmos, but picked up a couple of oil catch cans and lines, fittings, sandwhich plate for a large Setrab oil cooler for the 370. Scored an almost brand new set of AAM resonated Ti tails. 350 got some new finder liners...

Zoren 370 12-20-2020 09:38 AM

I had a 2003 Rav 4 as my commuter. Last year, thing caught fire coming home from work. Thing filled up with smoke quickly and engulfed in flames . Only had 58k miles on it. Fire department found a critter nest.

Bought a 2004 RAV4 with 25k miles with the Insurance and found another critter nest not more than. 2 weeks later. I switched jobs and never saw one again. Apparently something at my work. Crossing my fingers with this one.

... I check for critter nests all the time now to the point it's almost a phobia. "Hate little F'ers living in my engine bay" syndrome.

Oh, just remember as well. A couple years back when I was getting the Z ready for spring... The year before I installed the motordyne TDX and forgot to install plugs in the exhaust tips when winterizing it. Went to start it that spring and something smelled of death. Couldn't figure out what it was. 10 minutes later, gave it a couple nice revs and a massive chipmunk nest came out with several deceased squatters

Called my stepson and told him on what happened. He said that they been having problems with critters ever since they moved in. :icon14:

In 2008, I bought a left over 2007 Honda VFR bike still in the crate from the local dealer. Took the bike out of the crate and put it together. Put fuel in it and it stared right up. Broke the engine in and then put in on the dyno. The numbers were LOW. Started to check everything on the bike. Raised the fuel tank up, and removed the top of the air filter cover. Found a mice nest that covered over 2/3's of the filter. In removing the nest, I found 3 dead mice. Put a new filter in and redyno. Now the numbers was above avg.

160 is not even a spit in the puddle. People drop thousands there in one purchase. i spent 7 grand there this year for the bathroom and some other stuff.
