I miss my old Motorola RAZR flip phone.

You'd primarily notice sluggishness when using youtube or streaming movies if your phone had to use 3g over 4g. The same gap will eventually happen between 4 and 5 a decade down the road due to us probably streaming at 4k resolutions for everything.

If you wanna blow $1,400. You can get Moto's new Razr Flip. Same premise as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, but different hinge and foldable design. Looks like a decently solid phone.

Thought I read somewhere that it comes with an older version of Android though and Moto doesn't update as frequently.

As far as I was aware, both the OG and Razr 2 models will both be getting Android 11. I know the OG already has Android 10 available for it. And moto dedicated to have all flagship models come with 3 yrs worth of OS updates.

It's a good thing I understand that a mobile phone is nothing but a miniature radio, subject to all the oddities that the atmosphere will put it through. :bowrofl::bowrofl:

You will have more 5G access than any other provider. It's coming quick. The newer phones are already setup to run on the All 5G spectrum we have which is a good bit. If you an Iphone person, that will be the phones they are just now releasing. Apple is slow. You can read about all this on public releases that have been made by T-mobile.

He was in a gallery gasket thread trying to say the revised Nissan gaskets and Z1 hardware are better than the EPS gaskets and hardware :icon14:

What would be the best way to mount led fluorescent 4 ft lights to wooden beams without any mounting holes in the back of the lights? Apparently the chinese have never heard of cutting freaking holes in the backs to mount stuff.

Gorilla glue? Special adhesive tape? Hot snot?

If the metal is thin enough, I'd try the self-drilling screws that are used to install metal roofs.

Thinking about just wrapping gaf tape around the ends to the beam and calling it a day. They're so bright that people won't be looking up much anyways.

The 5g thing is true to an extent. Smaller areas won't have the infrastructure for years to come. The thing is that 5G for residential users doesn't matter much. Stream speeds on 4g are far more than enough for the average person.

The tough part will be with phones. More companies are adding 5g which inherently raises the price. But, you are also future proofing yourself for the time if/when 5g does become available within your area.

The issue with getting a 5g phone right now (especially android) is that the phone OS may not be supported in 5 years when 5g readily becomes available.

If you can swing $2,000 for the Z Fold 2. Do it. it's fun to hold the future in your hand. But i wouldn't get the phone strictly for 5g. You can pick up a pixel and spend the other $1,500 on cigars.

The other option you can do with your s10 is root it and load a custom rom onto it. lineage OS is readily available for the device and will keep is running smooth for years to come.

I like the idea of the custom rom.. I'm not that familiar with the process of rooting a phone, so I'm a little leary of something like that, I'm afraid I'd brick my phone, with my luck.

Hmmm buy a pixel and spend $1500 on cigars, car parts or guns.....decisions, decisions.... :rofl2::rofl2:

The s10 isn't bad to root and load custom ROM's on to. And the guides made on XDA developer sites are step by step at this point. Almost fool proof.
