The girlfriend asked if we could watch The Good, The Bad And The Ugly tonight. Hell yeah, I love that flic! She's never seen it.

But only after grilled ribeyes I told her. Ha ha!

JC would approve!

If you're bored. Try out The Good, The Bad, and The Weird. It's by the director who made Parasite. It's Korean, so it's subtitled, but still a really fun and decent "western"

I have a feeling that one is best watched without the girlfriend. LOL

The real story is one of her friends mentioned that the young clint eastwood was "hot", so now she's all about watching one of his early movies. Yeah, she'll pass out within an hour... earlier if I pour the wine to the rim. :icon17:. And that's ok, because I love that movie.

No koks in it. I promise. It's a fun movie. Decent twist at the end.

jchammond 12-05-2020 07:15 PM

That movie was shot the same year I was born :rofl2:

Dang truck's pinion seal change is being a pain in the butt. Had to call JC several times. I think I have the right puller now to get the freaking yoke off. Off to get longer bolts in the morning for the puller. Diesel mechanic's earn their dang pay, that's for sure.

But seriously, that's two bands of spring steel. Cutters won't touch it, if they could even reach it. And given that it's right next to O2 sensor wiring and circling a coolant hardline, I have zero confidence in using the extended cable dremel thing that I have. Maybe if I had thin, wiry arms like Bill, but alas...

"Lost" the damn thing when I was replacing the hoses two years ago; put a new clamp on instead.

I have no idea how I'm going to deal with it, without draining the coolant and pulling the hose. Or pulling the header. There is precisely zero room to hold the clamp and put it on the end of the hose.

A big blob of silicone should keep things quiet until you can remove the clamp.

Slow night in the village tonight.

BettyZ 12-05-2020 10:52 PM

There's just so much fvuckedupedness here I can't even summarize it. But I'll try. Basically, the vaccination panel appointed by the gov't thinks nursing home residents and older folks are better off dying, because they feel the overriding point of their job is to remedy "health inequity."

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/05/h...gtype=Homepage

Quotes from the article:

"Historically, the committee relied on scientific evidence to inform its decisions. But now the members are weighing social justice concerns as well."

Marc Lipsitch, an infectious-disease epidemiologist at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, argued that teachers should not be included as essential workers, if a central goal of the committee is to reduce health inequities. “Teachers have middle-class salaries, are very often white, and they have college degrees,” he said.

“Older populations are whiter, ” Dr. Schmidt said. “Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.”

"Still, some people believe it is wrong to give racial and socioeconomic equity more weight than who is most likely to die."

From Northeastern (who's that?), Rutgers (lame), Harvard (overrated), and Northwestern (Go 'Cats!) Universities.

Tl;dr : keep covering your ugly mugs, but more importantly stay the fvck away everyone else. Social distancing protects you, masks don't - they protect others from getting COVID if you have it.

“We find that social distancing has decreased dramatically since the spring, while mask wearing has increased."

Bet I could toss it on my Mohawk & take care of it; though Trigger may not approve
With that selection of Gearwrench & Hazard F. Tools...you should be able to at least push it up & hold; while putting a small slit:yum: piece of hose around the pipe....then bring the clamp back down around it :tiphat:

Nope & gonna be ordering radiator & all (4) AFR sensors from local dealership; as I have a friend who’s manager over the Parts/Service Dept....but dang :icon14: Those AFR sensors are nearly another 4-digit expense
Expecting more stuff next week; as I had to get my 525 Hellcat pumps from Aeromotive; same exact pump in their box...they call it something else.
Just glad it’s genuine pumps & no counterfeit crap :iagree:
