:iagree: But please be careful...one word of advise if I may... don't give your company an ultimatum unless you have something firmly lined up and in the pipeline. Most times it won't end up well.

On the bright side I can tell you a lot of companies are now hiring for remote work since Covid times. Companies are realizing that [IT] folks can work remotely which allows them to bring in more talent from around the US than if they were to hire candidates local office only. You're a smart guy. Get that reZume dusted off! ;)

There is another site visit tentatively scheduled for Friday, but those idiots asked me to signed some stupid vendor agreement (after we already executed a contract and performed work) that basically says if the owner gets sued for being stupid they can make me pay their attorney fees simply because we were present at the site :gtfo2:
Pure to that
Hopefully they won't balk at the markups to the agreement. I lose out on a lot of $$$ this way. But it's not worth the risk. Maybe I'll tell them I can sign it as is, but we'll have to re-execute the contract because my fees go up by a factor of 10,000 to cover the legal risk

Add a line to their contract that states you are only liable for up to amount of the purchase order (contract) in the event that your services are found to be in error.

Never be specific in writing a contract as the more ambiguity you have, the better off you would be in court should anything like that transpire

They might go for that. You certainly don’t want to sign some clause about unlimited liability....

Some bastard brake-checked me in the Lexus a few minutes ago. He had like 5 dogs in the car too. What a dumbshit. He called the cops and wouldn't give me his insurance info. So I gave my info to the firemen that showed up and then promptly drove off. I'm not dealing with that prick. Lexus got a nice little dent in the front bumper but who cares lol

So wait... cops are called but firemen show up?

Are they authorized/approved to fill out a traffic accident report for the insurance companies in the Lone Star State?
