Washed the Z. Still doing final wipedown for some erroneous water spots. Thank goodness for the lift. So much easier to wipe all the lower parts off.

Thinking about taking Thurs and Fri off this week or mon/Tues next week just to decompress. That migration of the new company we bought took a lot out of mentally. Need to burn 5 weeks of vacation this year anyways...

Here's a quick shot of the metallic look the paint gives off from using that black fire wax.

I’m disappointed to say the least, I had to get rid my last 4Runner a 1997 because the frame rusted and broke. Traded it to a buddy for some Custom made cabinets In the garage, he found someone ( no one wanted to ) weld it and he’s still using it as a daily :bowrofl: just had to have the other side welded a few weeks back :bowrofl:

Very common problem with all Toyota trucks. There have been recalls for frame rust issues on a bunch of Tacoma generations and I think the 3rd and 4th gen 4Runners too. Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ve done a frame recall yet on the 5th gen yet (2010-present).

I would prep and then paint the frame with por 15 and try and get as much as possible coverage inside the frame rails, they tend to rust from the inside out a lot of the time. I think kbs coatings also has a good frame rust repair/preventative coating as well but I haven’t looked into yet so I’m not sure if it’s worth it or not.
