Went for a walk around the 'hood. Found a fox worrying a fresh killed rabbit. Scared his bitch-azz off. Came back to the site of the kill and a skunk was trying to drag the rabbit off.

Found a dead juvenile skunk and two-day dead adult rabbit in the same four-block area. Juvy skunk and adult rabbit hadn't been ate, just killed. Makes me think there's something rabid out there. Gonna start carrying the Kabar and a Maglite during dog walks.

:hello:

I'z up.

I'm moving.

Logged into the work health website and did my questionnaire. I passed. That means I get to go to work. When I get to work. I have the stand in front of a temp scanner before I punch in. :icon14: The problem is that the scanner is position for short people. I almost have to get on my knees to use it. :shakes head:

68F now. High of 84F with 20% rain.

Tell them they need to have a lower one for people in wheelchairs and a taller one for people who have trouble stooping or bending. That's what ADA requires for drinking fountains :twocents:

If they refuse, just let them know I'll be talking to the Department of Justice about deficiencies at a florist in Grand Rapids and can easily add a Home Depot store to the agenda.

It's the way short people get revenge against anyone who can reach the top cabinets and shelves.

Morning all! Have a great day!

Is it 20% viewing area is gonna get rain, not an actual percentage of it happening? Thought I had read that. Anyone wanna google that? :icon17:

It's expected. I've seen it happen before. Bunch of people sign up, and only about half make it. Most at the last minute. On the Power Wagon forum. We start about a year in advance. Have over a hundred sign up. End up with less than 20. :icon14:

The radar showed rain over the mountains. Well, I travel to the base of the mountains. Drove into it. Just sprinkles tho.

I'm very hopeful that I'll make it, just wanted everyone to be informed if I can't, and why I can't. Bringing plague with me is just not fair to all of you.

We do appreciate that. Does your area have any rapid test sites available? PA and NY have been handling this very well I would say. Only 2 states I've seen that require masks at drive-thru's and have gas stations giving out gloves/sanitizer while at the pumps.

I'm checking into that, the people at my facility managed same day tests and same day results, so I know they're available.

Heh, my area is mixed on response. 352, the road I take to I95, passes through a shopping center that is equidistant from Chester, PA (super low income and education level) and Middletown, PA (the opposite). On one side of the road is a ShopRite, a Dollar General, and a couple other stores that cater to the Chester clientele. On the other side are a Giant, a Starbucks, and a few other shops catering to the Middletown clientele.

Wife and I made the mistake of going into the ShopRite during Isaias to get ice for our freezer during the power outage. Virtually no one in the store wore a mask, and the ones who did wore them incorrectly. No social distancing at all.

Giant is the opposite. Everyone there wears a mask, keeps distance. Income level plays a big part in response.

Good morning from the sunny and dry southwest. To day is the last of the cool pre fall weather with temps in the low 90s. There is an excessive heat warning out for the weekend.

Things aren't looking good here either. I checked the forecast and it said no rain. Now that I'm at the office, the skies look ominous. And I took Z. And the windshield wipers aren't currently installed :icon17:

Like someone microwaved a wet carpet and hung it over the city.

One more day of work and I am off until next Tuesday.
