Morning all! Hope you had a great weekend. Cut the grass, did the 3k mileage maintenance on the BP turbo, and caught up with some friends I haven't seen in several months (pre-Covid). I could go for another few days off, but I guess it'll have to do ;)

eastwest2300 06-15-2020 07:00 AM

have a good day dude

eastwest2300 06-15-2020 07:01 AM

Leingod 06-15-2020 07:05 AM

Made some mexican blend coffee this morning and letting it steep in the french press now. I am crossing my fingers nothing goes off the rails today. I'm still recovering from last week.

BoneZ 06-15-2020 07:06 AM

This take made me think of Spoiler.

Yes, but apparently when you drive an automatic, you have absolutely no idea how to drive a manual and are less of a man. ... at least that's what the Facepage group teaches.

Ha ha! F all that noise. I first learned to drive a standard trans... and that's that last time. I prefer automatics. Even the jeep wrangler i drove when I lived out in LA was an automatic. Couldnt imagine shifting 18 times every block in that car choked city.

Now if we're talking motorcycles, an a/t can :gtfo2:

RIP Bonez manliness.

Did you get the custom dildo shift knob you wanted so that you can grip the shifter appropriately?

(My 350 was an automatic, and it was great - my AT hate is insincere)

Yes. I had it custom made in my likeness, as I ain't grabbing nobody else's junk. Plus, I wanted a short shifter anyway...

Ive had manuals all my life until I moved to LA. I did have a VW Bug when I first moved here. And even as forgiving as that clutch was, it was a PIA in all the traffic.

Yeah, shifting from n to 1st, back to n, then to 1st, then n... (repeat for hours) makes driving just an exhausting chore. Ha ha!

Youre familiar where I live (on beach and Katella near disneyland). Before the gf moved in, I used to go pick her up in the early evening. Going from where I live to the 605 fwy is about 5 miles. It took me over half hour on Katella getting to the 605. :shakes head:

Yeah. Atlanta isn't as bad as LA was, but it's not all that great either.

Yeah, I know that area well. My gf worked at the Anaheim Hilton nearby. 30 minutes for that 5 mile stretch is ridiculous. A potential dating deal breaker. :icon17:

Leingod 06-15-2020 08:10 AM

Friggen Onewheel isn't suppose to ship until Thursday. Handmade is an understatement apparently.

JLarson 06-15-2020 08:12 AM

Philadelphia here, I95 corridor. It's a 58 mile round trip commute which passes PHL International and drives most of the way through Philadelphia. Thanks to COVID, it's been a pretty easy drive since March, but traffic is slowly returning to normal.

Some days, its a 35 minute drive to work; and some days it's 4 hours. It just depends on whether or not anyone crashes. The worst, by far, are the tractor trailers.

:rofl2::rofl2: seven minutes from my house to my office. Seven steps from my bed to my home office.

How many squeezes of grease did the turbo take? Mine is about 3 pumps and done. :ugh2:

Remember, just because you can make a car go foreword and backwards, doesn’t mean you can drive a stick or manual as you kids call it today :bowrofl:

Remember when the manual was referred to as a stick ???

BettyZ 06-15-2020 08:51 AM

And hola itchez! Another glorious Monday... o wait, Monday :gtfo2:
