Must have something to do with clearance issues or something, for them to go the electric route.....the air actuated ones actually use a solenoid to put air to the hub for dis-engagement & take it away for lockup. When trucks have been sitting & air pressure low...the fan is locked up, until the air pressure builds up. Then it removes air if engine temp reaches 205* or A/C head pressure hits around 350psi :tiphat: |
