i have a 34 row i was told to add 1 extra quart to compensate. however it never fully drains so just do your normal 5.5 or 6 and check the level.

typically i do that, drive a week with checks, then decide if a bit more is needed.

Ok, that works for me. I got 5Qt+a bit in the filter and it seems to be halfway between middle and high mark.

I always add 3/4 of a quart extra.

yea i think i just toss in 5 or 6qt, drive, and check it after it's had some miles, then decide.

always better to be a touch under since its really not ideal to take oil out lol

Im not usually a sucker for buying into detailing product hype and "systems" but I said I'd give the ceramic coat a proper go so I ended up picking up a bottle of the Gyeon Super duper sudsing action car wash. Suppose to be made for foam cannon type units. well see how it does next wash. Dirt better just fall off the car after all the hassle of this stuff.

it doesnt.

foam cannons are more for pre lubing paint is all.

i foam my cars, then use a mitt with the same suber lube soap and do straight strokes as best i can to reduce scratches.

i use chemical guy products.

speaking of which , i need to order new soap and towels.

Leingod 05-14-2020 01:53 PM

Duragloss 302 for foam cannon soap

Meguiars caranuba wash for mitts

Mothers synthetic clay bars

Chemical guys 3XX compounds and polishes

4 Star and Wolfgang paint sealants

Wolfgang Si02 spray for gloss

Griots speed shine for touchups

Collinite wax for protection

i just bought a gallon of chemical guys V07 super high gloss and lube
also got a small bottle of their black car specialty soap to test out even though my black car is fully clear wrapped.

also their wrap quick detailer is garbage left tons of streaks. i use 3M quick detailer it's the best ive found.

Yeah see Im trying to work smarter not harder these days. I am trying the ceramic coating to see if 1) washes are easier and 2) Its supposedly wash and wipe down with a their Cure quick detailer as needed. Thats it. We'll see if the hype is worth it or not. I try definitely dont polish every time I want to "wax" it. I like my washes to not make any marks that need to be polished.

I hate to admit it cause Im a bit of a hater but Griots speed shine is pretty damn nice. I use only 3m for polishes.
