I dunno, to me its still a cat..lol
I saw a youtube video, a dude killed a bobcat, grilled it up and served it for dinner without telling his gf what it was. He told her after they started eating, and she was like " I thought it was pork. Oh, well. Its delicious"

And eating coyote. NO THANKS! :eekdance:

Was an institutional equity broker, then financial (equities and alt investments, no fixed products) portfoilo manager at a hedge fund in the past. Now i just manage my own assets.. although some days I question the word 'manage'. :icon17:

Well I haven't eaten any coyotes but after 30 years in the fish and wildlife industry I have had my fair share of eating some crazy stuff.

I think if you want to feed the homeless there should be an open season domestic cats. They are the scourge on small wildlife.

yikes! Pepper tries to help with the ferral cat population. I swear everytime we step out the door, first thing she does is scan the quad for cats and will only start walking if shes satisfied that there are none to be found. :icon17:

Javalina are most closely related to hippos if you can believe that. They are unique and are in the collard pacary family. The taste his hit and miss depending on how the meat is cared for after it has been killed. The most common ways it is cooked is pit smoke and shredded green chili. It makes for great burritos.

them things would run through our apartment parking lot when I lived on Rose garden lane in N. Phoenix! Redneck neighbor started shooting crossbow bolts at them while giving chase through the complex. :shakes head:

I used to right people tickets for that and the cops would hookim and bookim for reckless endangerment.

I spent the first part of my career chasing javalina around Tucson and Casa Grande. They are one of my favorite critters. Most people are scared of them because they will snort, woof and clack their teeth when startled but when frightened they will run wildly in all directions bouncing off stuff including people because their sight is horrible. They are not aggressive at all.
