Beautiful day out today. Gonna chill around the house the early part of the afternoon. Then I'm either going out or I'm working on the ramps. I've been hesitant to use power tools the last couple days because my roommate is trying to play glue in a real estate transaction and has been on the phone a lot.

But a water jet flosser. They are awesome for getting food out. Doesn’t replace flossing but it does the hard work and flossing just become scrapping the sides of your teeth to clean them.

eastwest2300 05-23-2020 11:54 AM

finished up with an oil change on the QX, she's running nice and smooth.. took the Z to walmart a few miles away to pick up some ant killer.. the ants down here are terrible. :ugh:

madwi 05-23-2020 12:21 PM

pulled off rear tire and adjusted the coilover height up 3/8. Was a tad too low. About to clean all the wheels off and wait for the sun to start setting a bit before washing the car.

The very worst part of detailing has to be wheels. I cant stand cleaning wheels.

To be honest, I think I will enjoy you getting your car back up and running more than mine. The next couple of months are going to be interesting.

madwi 05-23-2020 12:56 PM

Think I am going to ceramic coat the wheels.

Remind me to tell you of the time when I was ~27yrs old and my boss and I spent a couple weeks remodeling a condo in the retirement community of Sun City,Az. Them old people can party hard. :ugh2:

JLarson 05-23-2020 01:43 PM

Down in Virginia until tomorrow. Doing a little hiking with the wife! A bit rainy, but drove the Blue Ridge a bit and that was great.

Sounds like a good time. :hello:

madwi 05-23-2020 01:46 PM

Just getting enough shadows on the driveway to wash the car. A cruise around the block is in order before the wash I think. Make sure it is good and dirty to try out new soaps.

You're going to need a 55 gallon drum for all of them. :tiphat:

What do you do about your hood vents when rinsing the car?

Spray the piss out of em like the rest of the car. :rofl2: Ok, I dont target them but if the wand hits them with water I dont worry about it. I wipe down the engine bay after Im done anyway. At first I had laid a large bath towel folded over a couple times under the vents but meh.

madwi 05-23-2020 02:00 PM

You can tell how motivated we are to get to washing the car. The boss says its time to sit back and relax a bit. Mt. Dew and some tunes playing.

I still have some of the Gyeon mohs and Skin left. I think I can get all 4 wheels done with the left overs.

madwi 05-23-2020 03:28 PM

What a day. After the great start I found the detail with the note that said the sketch artist left a whole bunch of rebar off the rebar schedule so there is not enough to build the fvcking thing

So 3 hour with 3 guys at the bender trying to fab #8 bar with the small bit of extra I had sent out for the footing pour. It's as close as it can be bent in the field. My bender can do a 10° bend. I needed a 7°. That's what they get if they don't take the time to figure chit right.

Also had to have a truck sent out asap to bring a bunch of #5. So I got to ruin another guys holiday weekend.

I wish it was a weekday and this see you next Tuesday was in the office. He'd hear about where I'm going to stuff his print
