nobody knows what the origins of these things is tho. in the case of bird flu, the earliest known case was in Scotland.

MERS 'originated' as in, the first known case was identified, in Saudi Arabia.

So you're saying the Chinese and the sand thieves are in cahoots.

Makes sense.

There is a bird flu outbreak happening right now in China. China has started to kill it's chickens again. But this is being over shadowed by this other virus. Oh..... don't forget that China had to kill 3/4 of it's pigs last year due to the African swine flu.

We're all just Some-Guy-On-The-Intertubes. I see a lot of claims but no facts to back them up. How about some links to reliable sources?

I have 25,000 contacts on LinkedIn. And I have a lot of contacts in China. Everytime I ask any of them on how they are doing with the virus. No more replies from them. Can ask them about anything else. I get replies back. Soon as I ask about the virus. That's it. No more.

Ever hear of the Chinese 50 cent army? They are a bunch of trolls that get paid 50 cent for every post they make that shows China in a good light. :icon14:

That's what the people in HK are fighting for. The US needs to step in and help them. The Chinese government is now trying to blame this virus on the US, I am waiting for Trump to say f you guys and sanction them.

One day one of their spokesman is on twitter blaming America, the next day another spokesman came out and said it is not possible for America to pull the supply chain out of China. They are something.

My nanny is from China, she has families over there. There are definitely people that have died, the question is how many. She also noticed how her family stopped talking about the virus in Feb.

They just reported lots of loss subscribers on their cell phone providers and China is very strict about cell phones on how many you can have and how you need it. You can take some discounts off those numbers and see what the true death rate is.

:iagree:

My dad (in Hong Kong) echos your experience.

During her college senior year in USA, my younger sister had a BF that's from mainland China. Along the way, gotten to know many mid 20's from mainland China. Experience is similar....they can hehe haha with you, talk about anything, but as soon as you try to start a discussion that even probe into the propaganda of the Chinese Government, their politics, freedom, they would shut my sister down, or something along the line of "there's nothing wrong with xxxx".

No Chinese Nationals would risk saying anything on FB, certainly not with any information that can link back to his/her real identity. FB is prohibited in China anyway, one actually has to hack his/her way out.

Social media in China is monitored by its government.
