Storage Problems?
Hello,
I've had my vehicle stored now for a good month. Unfortunately, I didn't pay the initial cost of tow, and had the storage fee calculated over the duration it's been stored. After calling in to pay for the fees and have it re-towed, the person over the phone informed me it would be $450.00 for the tow and $40.00 a day storage. However, on the day of, I was quoted $50.00 for the tow and $25.00 a day storage. I mentioned I was told $25.00 a day for storage and he quickly made the adjustment after speaking to his Manager. Afterwards, he mentioned the initial tow would be $450.00, and an additional tow would be another $450.00.. I pleaded with him about the initial quote of $50.00, I even have a charge attempt e-mailed to myself FROM that towing company for $50.00 that never went through, so the person working told me he'll write it down, calculate it, and I can pay later on. How would you handle/deal with this? I'm planning on going there later on today or tonight, but it's been several days and they won't budge.. myself having a notification of the charge attempt for the tow of $50.00 is more than sufficient evidence, and I'd like to NOT introduce a lawyer, but if that's the case I definitely will. Original quotes: $50 for the tow $25/day storage Re-quoted: $450 for the tow $40/day storage Seems like they're trying to make extra bucks. |
My car got towed from a parking spot because I didnt have a daily permit to park there overnight. It got towed at 5am, I picked it up at 3pm the same day and I was charged 300 something dollars. I think there were some BS fees that are pretty standard that was charged. Hook up fee was the most expensive I think. 50 bucks for the initial tow seems like a mistake on their part, but thats what they quoted you!
