Five and a half inches of snow here. A keen eye might spot where I've not yet put insulation in my garage...

Got a couple quotes for having someone blow in the insulation in the ceiling. hopefully we can get this thing buttoned up soon. Then I need to figure out how I am going to insulate the door.

Rusty 10-31-2019 07:09 PM

Dropped off the motorhome. Stopped and had a big lunch on the way home. :yum: Got home a had a nice nap. Rained the whole time going to and coming back. Nothing like driving in a down pour with fog both ways. :shakes head: Still raining with high winds. :icon14:

Rusty 10-31-2019 07:12 PM

Got a call from the dealership. Just spent $1,600 for a new right side mirror for the motorhome. That's the one, that the one renter crashed into a toll booth on the Ohio turnpike. The body shop want $2,000 for the same mirror.

Snagged a small 1/2 drive, 6pt socket set. Ko-ken tools fast becoming one of my favorite brands.
Big pic inside.

See how well they hold up with a 1/2 drive impact gun. Hope they don't explode like Mac sockets do.

My Snap-On never had a problem with them. Had bought some Mac sockets because the dealer offered a deal on them. 3 of us got them. Each of us had a socket or 2 explode. The one guy had to go to the ER to get the pieces out of his hand. So, I've been careful about sockets ever since.

To remove the lug nuts from the wheels on my Power Wagon. Have to use a deepwell 6 point thinwall. Nothing else fits. One my Z. Have to use a deepwell 7 point spline thinwall.

Ain't no snow here in Flo ida... 90 degrees and sunny. Quite a nice day....

Id never use any chrome on an impact, just for that reason, snap-on or not. Sucks you are stuck in the situation were you are forced to do it.

You could rent a blower too.

As for the door - if replacing it with an insulated door is not in the cards... Amazon will come through for you.

Have impact sockets too. But sometimes, just end up using the chromies.

Honestly, for the price I am paying, it wouldnt be worth my time to rent the blower and buy the insulation.
No insulated door either, I was looking at 2" pink foam I could cut and adhere to door or one of the kits like you linked.

madwi 10-31-2019 11:50 PM

Alignment tools showed up at the house too.
