Madwi’s 3.692 Sport VLSD had 2-different length shafts :wtf2:

Yep, the passenger side shaft has to be cut down on the sport vlsd.

Looks like coolerworx is selling the short shifter for a sizeable discount as long as you get the black shifter with black handle.

That is tempting... ... ...

I'm heavily contemplating canceling my order for the CF one I ordered from soho and just getting the black on black one. Save myself $300

Do it.

I'm interested in this but I already trimmed my OEM nismo shifter boot to fit my b&m shortshifter.. I'd have to get a new one...

Depends on how much you trimmed your stock boot. When I ordered my alcantara shift boot from Redline Goods, I ordered it 1" shorter for my coolerworx shifter.

Hmmm. Hmmm. Hmmm. That shifter is kinda tall.. could interfere with certain extracurricular vehicular activities... this is a tough choice. The shaft thread is the same as OEM?

It says it's the same but I believe Madwi said his other different didn't fit.

Leingod 11-29-2019 01:52 PM

Happy note. Bought a new bose sub for the Z since I am fairly sure my is blown ever since my battery issues last year.

It's tall but the boot can't go above the reverse lockout so it not going all the way up the shifter shaft. Thread pitch is different than stock. Coolerworx is M12x1.5

I've devoured the FI builds section religiously, picked Mad's brain relentlessly, and I guess I'm about as prepared as a newbie can get.

Wish me luck!

Well on your way down the rabbit hole now. LMAO...

madwi 11-29-2019 08:14 PM

I am going to have to make a nice wooden display tray for the knobs. Like some people choose watches, I can get out the tray and decide which knob to use that day. :icon17:

That should look pretty nice. I had my steering wheel wrapped in alcantara and bought an alcantara shift boot and e brake boot so I got the alcantara knob.

You and me both brother. Between the knobs I bought for the TWM shifter and the coolerworx, I probably have a dozen.

I want a steering wheel with perforated leather so I ordered this knob to go with that in mind.
