Deploying Tomorrow
 

Im am shipping out tomorrow for ~3 months we are leaving from Norfolk and heading over to San Diego, CA. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. In case someone was trying to contact me, you can reach me at matthew.goolsby@cvn70.navy.mil

Just wanted to let everyone know im back in the states for a little while, we stopped in Haiti for a little for the earthquake. We are heading out to Brazil and Peru. Im on the USS Carl Vinson if you hear anymore about us on the news. Hope everyone is doing well.

If you have a camera please take pictures of all the places you've visited!
I don't think I'll ever get a chance in my life time to go to the places you've named...

what i think about it, or how the war going?

well ill answer both :)

i think the war is needed and i think its not needed. i am only 1 soldier who is doing this not just so america is safe at home, but for my family to not ever see, feel or do the things i will see, feel or do. it helps me sleep at night knowing that im 1 more person helping keep the fight over there, then bringing it down here. as far as anything else, i could care less whats going on lol

as far as the war, from what ive heard, we're trying to help them like we were trying to do to with the rest of the middle east. as far as i know, the war is going in our favor. sry if i couldnt provide anymore info.

Im back, pulled in today and living in San Diego safe and sound. My rate for the person above is MM2 (conventional)

At least is only 3 months... Almost time to come back!

Lets see we stopped in Rio De Janerio, Brazil, Lima Peru, Mayport FL, now in San Diego for a while.

How are your deployments, im sure you get a take a hot shower every night, sleep on a nice spring bed in the AC, and eat 4 hot meals a day, or is that just the Navy. So in that sense I did enjoy it and the fact that the branch I picked has better perks :tup:

I hope your not being facetious, I have a really long hateful angry rant for you if that was your intention...

Lol i thought us Airforce have the best deployment, i stand corrected. BTW enjoy your vacation......i mean deployment lol.

Lol don't ever say that to army guys they get screwed more than anyone with deployments. I know some army guys deployed for 15 months, that's a frigging short tour in the AF.

+1 AF/Navy has it easy...

Army/Marines have the most fisting when it comes to Deployments... 3 month turnaround after a 15 month deployment, wow thanks guys! :ugh2:

Just look at it this way, after 6 months AF/Navy goes home... Army/Marines go to Qatar for 2 weeks... Granted they bang all the AF/Navy chicks there, but still. lol

+1, however, those ones are often more disease ridden than the Army females:rofl2:

+1 be careful the ones you hit during those R&R, theres a good chance you're getting used goods lol.
