Maybe next year, provided I'm employed....:icon14:

Unfortunately, I'm at the age where most folks don't even want to bring me in for an interview.... :shakes head::shakes head:

I mentioned before that I share a garage with the BEST neighbor ever. Well, after I finished the FUCA install, I just put all my tools up and packed up the qj, I had crap all over the garage floor... bits and pieces of wrappers, pieces of plastic, broken retaining clips, etc.. Yesterday took the gf out, the neighbor was in the garage cleaning his wheels - hes not much of a car guy so he doesnt have many supplies.. I lent him my bottle of tire shine...came back home, and as I was pulling into the garage, the gf says "hey, you cleaned up the garage"... um, no I didnt... the neighbor did... I hope they dont ever move away!!
Oh, and when I saw him in the garage, he was apologizing for parking kinda close to my side of the garage.. :driving:

Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to have to figure out the right key words because the initial search gave me a crap load of auto mechanic & Army National Guard jobs... WTF?!?!?! Why would a Marine even consider an ANG job?!?!?!?:gtfo2:

My pet peeve... seeing Army pukes running around in BDUs.... and looking like a soup sandwich.... :gtfo2:

Good grief, BDUs are a 'work' uniform, not a liberty uniform... FFS....:shakes head::shakes head:

Marines are taught to travel in Service A, Service C, Dress Blues or civilian clothes....:tup: though in the post 9/11 world, Service A might be a pain in the azz because of the metal detectors...

I never travelled in BDU's, unless it was for training, or deployment. Otherwise, it was Class A, B or shorts and a tshirt.. I was too poor to own a pair of dress blues.
Speaking of medals, when my MOS was done away with, I reclassed as an engineer. When I reported to AIT, I was in my class A's to meet with my new Drill Sergents (we had to train with the recruits in AIT), I think I pissed off the DS because as an E4, I had more salad on my jacket than he did as an E6. He told me he never wanted to see me in my Class As again until graduation..lol

Another possibility linked to armed forces would be checking into jobs for the DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency). They perform contract review and source inspections for companies who receive contracts from the gov't, and they really try to hire veterans. I interacted with them a lot in the Philly area. If you're interest, I can reach out to my contacts there and see if I can get you pointed in the right direction.

Thanks JL, I just got back on USAJOBS and I'm working through that process. I'm probably not going to move, so I'm looking for things in the KC metro area.

I'll take all the help I can get at this point. :)

Yea......know that feeling. :shakes head: Sometimes when I say that I retired from one position. They close their ears. :shakes head:

Have one headhunter wanting me to sent him my resume today.
