I have a brother who is retired who was involved with the moving of electricity through various transmission sources throughout the country.

California has had issues with Rolling Brown outs at peak times.As population has grown capacity has not.Build some coal fired power plants.Use what we have until there are real alternatives.

I saw Nancy Pelosi speaking on energy."We need more sources of renewable energy like natural gas".

If California has a congress woman that misinformed; the state is in trouble.


As much as people would like.You can not even come close to generating enough power needed with solar and wind.

Just noting the other side of this - in my area, a lot of the young people are embracing socialism because of declining wages and opportunity here. Also, debt (college loans). They are seeing the right problems, just not necessarily the right solutions.

I understand this but they have this sense of entitlement.

I live in a State that has very independent people.Even young people here look at this attitude in disbelief.

Lowest unemployment rate in 60 years.Move if you have to.

You old people just worked a minimum wage job and it paid for College.

Not true.Slept four hours a day and worked two part time jobs while going to School.Drove tractor trailer in summer.

After graduation I worked very hard to find a good job.I was willing to go anywhere.When I found a job I continued to work a second job to retire debt.



Retired my Schools loans by age 32.Then I bought a house not before.


My Daughters had the same work ethic and paid off School loans by their mid 30s.

I think their embrace of the Nanny State Socialism will change when they reach their high earning years.

Once they are making good money; may not like paying 90% taxes to support Socialist government.

I retired as a senior control room operator. I had direct contact with the grid operator. I had dealings with them, gas supply, the Fed's and anyone else. The things the general public doesn't know. :icon14:
