That sucks; I remember when I came home from work several years back & my golden lab had a stroke & couldn’t get up or walk...she was 14

It was in April one year & the temperature had spiked early that year,,,though she had plenty shade,water & food available....she was in middle of back yard

Sorry to hear about Jake. Them dang dogs tug on your heartstrings. I had a Bassett that went to hound dog heaven after 14 years with me... I was sad for 3 months, still am at times...

He and I shared a bunch of bacon together... :shakes head:

Back from the unplanned road trip. My mom's younger brother and older sister both passed away within 48 hours of each other. I had to drive my parents to New Orleans for my uncle's funeral, with the plan to drive to North Carolina to see my aunt before she passed. Well, somethings don't go as planned.
