If you're hardwired, pretty much any gigabit router will be able to take full advantage of your new WAN speed. But it will be mostly maxed out. Other activity on the LAN will likely compromise speed.

the xbox will be the only thing being hardwired.

so there should be nothing drawing speed away from it.

everything else will be wifi which pretty much is only my phone and a laptop.

dropping comcast finally and switching to gigabit fiber.

need some suggestions on good gaming routers that can actually use the 1000mbps speed that i will now have. xbox will be hard wired and phone/laptop will be wifi. was trying to stay like $300 as my ceiling but not a total deal breaker if over.

I have gigafiber and it never delivers 1000mbps. It all depends on how close to the box you are. My old townhouse I was literally 50yards from the box and I’d get 800mbps+ hardwired and 6-700mbps WiFi. The new house we are probably 3-4X that far and I get 3-350mbps WiFi. Haven’t confirmed hardwired because I don’t have a direct port open to plug the laptop into.

my xbox will be about 6-10" from the router max lol

i usually spend the majority of my time in the living room where the router will be and my house isn't massive so range isn't a major concern.

i've been fine running on 150-250mbps internet but i just want to get the most out of speed since i'm paying for it lol

here's 2 i'm looking at still searching for other options. reading reviews and whatnot as well.

Not the box in your house. The one in the neighborhood where the signal comes from.

The issue with your Z sounds like throttle body relearn. You lost power to the battery and the ECM lost it's marbles. I would think the tune is okay because it's a flash to an EEPROM. If the weather is nice, roll it outside and let it idle to operating temp before driving, then take it easy for 10-15 miles and let the ECM find it's marbles.

yea planning on that when i get home. went online and looked up the relearn process last night since i've never had to do that before. it's very simple so thats a plus.

weather is like 45 today good enough. it was 60 yesterday hence why i was trying to start and let both cars run but Z decided to be a bitch and start some shit.

think the jealousy is coming out since it shares the garage with big brother now.

I am a fan of the nighthawk. They have always held up well, easy to configure and update.
