LMAO, yeah I thought whippins were like vitamins...you got two a day weather you needed them or not! The best thing my parents ever did for me is made me tow the line and to understand that rules and my behavior matter and no excuses!!!

And the lack of asswhippins is a direct contributor to the absolute worthlessness of the younger generation. Parents, beat your kids early and often so they won't be living with you when they're 30.

I just don't like people so nothing ever changes. You're welcome.

Agreed, my two kids are millennials and they left home and went to college and never came back. Oh and they have jobs and are productive. They don't complain about their employer. Yep, they got a few licks across their a$$ and I told them from the time they started playing soccer at 4 or 5, there are only winners and losers in life and you get to decide which one you choose to be. Flipping snowflakes drive me crazy.

I and my siblings got a fair number of butt whuppings. Oddly enough, we're all gainfully employed, with several of us in management. We know how to get things done, don't whine about doing it, show up when we say we will, etc. I acknowledge there is a point where it can be abuse, but done the right way, I can't say I ever resented my parents for it.

Amen. I got a few 'attitude adjustments' growing up and oddly enough, I got a few 'attitude adjustments' in boot camp...:eek:

Though the ones in boot camp were much more painful... :inoutroflpuke::inoutroflpuke:

LMAO, I'm not real happy with people period right now, so maybe I should just stop talking. And why did you have to bring my car up. She has been dead to me since November. I have not heard anything from Seb in ove a month and I don't know if my stuff has gone to the machine shop yet. I'm a grouchy old ****. :icon23::inoutroflpuke:

Yeahhh definitely easier learning early. I can't speak to boot camp, but in general the lessons in adulthood tend to be way more painful.

You need whiskey, a cigar and some grilled meat. I have plenty of all at the house. You’re always welcome.
