What's huge? $100? $500? It's all about perspective. I put ~20K miles a year on my cars. Some people think that is a lot. My father drives double that. That 5 mpg might save me a few hundred bucks, sure. I could also probably save that much just by not having a heavy right foot. Meh...

A neighbor is building his S2000, and is putting his motor in this weekend. Hes a detailer by trade and offered to detail the Z if I loaned him my quick jack... no brainer! lol

Different vehicles for different purposes. I have a truck and a Z. Neither are ideal just for commuting back and forth to work 80 miles a day in horrendous traffic. So if I can get a hybrid and burn just a gallon or two daily instead of over 6 gallons on the truck or putting miles on the Z, the its a win win.

Different strokes for different folks. I bought a Fit and tried the commuter vehicle thing. Nope. No thanks. It's rated 35 mpg and I get 28 at best in town and the highway driving is terrible (unstable with no lane change power at speed). The Z was rated 19 in town and 24 on the highway and I routinely got 20+/25+ on a full tank even with some occasional fun thrown in.

I am willing to pay for the enjoyment of a more powerful vehicle is what it boils down to.

Yeah. I was DD'ing the Z, but it takes me almost 2 hours to drive 35-40 miles home, so Id be lucky to do one quick pull. Im not saying Im selling any of my cars, Im just saying Id like to add a more fuel economic one for the tedious commutes.

We use that in my facility, crack the ammonia for use as hydrogen in annealing. Back in 2012, apparently we had a catastrophic failure which resulted in us venting ammonia in the middle of northeast Philadelphia. Needless to say, the regulatory authorities were displeased. However, not deaths and no injuries, so that's a plus.

I agree. I just bought a truck with worst gas mileage than it’s predecessor.

I have a small riding mower at home. Went to mow the lawn, and it was running rough, so I ordered up the usual wear item replacements - spark plug, fuel filter, fuel line, air filter, etc - swap those over, it's still running rough. Start checking over everything, and as I'm taking it apart, I see the breather hose is covered with tape (I bought the mower used maybe 2 years ago). Start unwinding the tape, and I see that the hose is basically completely decayed - cracked, broken, etc. What kind of moron tapes a $9 part instead of replacing it?? New one otw, but just surprised me.

That's redneck engineering at it's best. :rofl2::rofl2:

You would be amazed at the number of less than intelligent people that exist in this world. As a nurse practitioner told one girl, 'Just because you have a driver's license doesn't mean you can have kids'.... :inoutroflpuke::inoutroflpuke:
