Oh Z you fickle bitch lol

Figures. I did a dumbazz thing and left the old Z on ( in ACC) overnight in my garage and had to put it on a charger the next morning. After about an hour on the charger, it would start, but it wouldn't shut off without pushing the button and holding it until the car shut down. It would idle okay, but it was hard to shut down. After 3 hours on the charger, everything was fine....:icon14::icon14:

Always check online. I've bought parts where the pair were cheaper online than one at the parts store (hubs and struts). Parts stores are only good if you need something critical (brakes, etc) because it quit on Friday and you have to drive to work on Monday. Cheap bastards won't always price match online prices.....:shakes head::shakes head:

That one issue was the only odd thing I had happen with the old Z. I had 71K on the original clutch, CSC, CMC & brakes... before the dumbazz teenager hit me at Mach 2 in a parking lot. :shakes head::shakes head::shakes head: she's damn lucky I didn't get out shooting....:mad:

I've read so many times how a low battery causes so many weird problems, anyways, hope your problem is solved.

yeaaaaaa i let mine 100% die i think the latest mini stretch of super low temps just drained it or maybe i have something drawing power and dont know what

Had my Z for 3 weeks and was at the gas station filling up and some kid backed out of his parking spot and into my front bumper scraping off some paint ... luckily he missed the fender. Took me about 8 hrs to cool off :icon14:

On all the newer cars. When battery voltage drops below 11 volts. The ECU will do crazy stuff. The ECU needs 10 volts to operate. Voltage spikes when charging will drive the ECU bat chit if you are idling the motor to charge.

There's always a small draw on power, but you're probably right about those sub zero temps being the finishing touch

My Honda Passport is sensitive to a small drop in voltage. If the alternator is going bad, youll know and weird things start to happen. It kinda sucks since its a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo... and Isuzu is gone now.
With the Z, most of my minor problems has been with the top. Just small annoying stuff.
Nothing like military vehicles though. You could leave your track in perfect condition Friday evening. Let it sit in the motorpool over the weekend and find 5 different problems come monday morning..lol

Cold tempretures can be pretty harsh on idle batteries
