Ya not many rules, but big brother does patrol the areas. The closest range to me is 40 miles, but their rifle range goes to only 200 yds and you get wanna be gang bangers firing an AK with no glass, no iron sights, the muzzle at a downward angle, barely able to control the recoil, trying to mag dumps..

yea i got fed up at the local game lands shooting ranges. too many people i dont know/trust.

also, the 6 round rule in hand guns is annoying.

i dont buy extended mags for the looks. although a glock 21 with a 36 rd mag looks pretty sexy.

Just the .38 or does it shoot .357 too? My buddy has one in .357 and we shot some +p out of it. It was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever shot. That includes my neighbors .460S&W.

Just .38 for mine. I have a Ruger Blackhawk that I can shoot both. But the BH is a bit large for carrying unless I'm out in the woods.

I can't imaging shooting 357 out of that stubby little barrel. I hear ya!!!

I got my daughter pissed at me one time. I was at her house. She had to do something in another room. I told Alexa to add 2 bags of dog food and 2 packs of toilet paper to the shopping list. My daughter ordered her stuff through Alexa. She got the dog food and toilet paper too. Took her a while to figure out what happened. :rofl2: So now when I come over. She hide Alexa. :rofl2:

The S&W 500 is no joke. Some girl killed herself when it recoiled back and she had her finger on the trigger for the next shot. The guys she was with thought it would be funny having a novice shoot that thing. :shakes head:

Oh, those yahoo;s I described are AT the local shooting range! lol... Theres this on RO there that is an @sshole to the people that break the range rules (even having a toe on the red line when the range is cold) and people hate him. But Id rather have an @sshole RO that enforces the rules than be dead!

It’s no joke. When we would take it to the range everyone around us would stop and watch. I was two booths down from him and the shockwave was still moving my clothes.

that had to have been a mess.

i'm curious though of her grip or the trigger weight on a SW 500. i've never shot one but i just feel it would be rare to pull again just through the recoil. not saying not possible just odd situation.

Yeah, it got away from her and swung back for the doubletap. Id imagine that after the first shot and as the muzzle was swinging up and back, her instinct wouldve been to move her shooting hand (and trigger finger) away, bang! shes a gonner.

Reminds me of the situation in which the parents of a 9 year old girl took her to shoot an Uzi at a range and ended up shooting/killing the instructor. The gun just got away from her as the rounds were firing. Sad for everyone involved!

thats was in like AZ or NM a few years back.

first off pretty sure i wouldn't allow a 9 year old to go full auto. yes the kid was a competition shooter already but a 9 year old girl just doesnt have the strength for that.

Yeah, that's the one.

Last I heard the parents were trying to sue the range because they claimed letting a 9 year old shoot that type of gun was unsafe. WTF?? It was the parents that took her there and allowed that shyt??!! :shakes head:

jwick 12-31-2018 01:14 PM

I used to go to an outdoor range here in town. One day some gang banger let his GF shoot his AK. She put multiple shots thru the tin awning. I immediately packed up my **** and have never gone back.

yea i saw a few of those but my favorite was this guy telling me how he's FBI and a firearms instructor yada yada bullllllllllllshit.

10 min later half way through a mag he drops his gun and it fires upon hitting the group. luckily it didnt hit no one. i just looked at him and said you got 2 mins to pack your stuff or i'll pack it for you.

I dont blame the girl. The dudes she was with were the dumbasses. They broke just about the most basic gun safety concerns there are.
- they let a novice shoot a hand cannon
- they ignored the 1 bullet rule where you only load one round and ONLY one round for a novice shooting a particular gun for the first time
- they were @ssholes

Again, gun safety was ignored
- the RO, instructor, or whatever you want to call him was standing to her side, and not behind her.
- he didnt properly brace the girl shooting
- more than 1 round for a novice shooter
- he was an @sshole (as with the parents)

Ive taken guy friends out shooting for their first time. They all try to be macho, asking why the hell am I only letting them fire one round from my 1911. I tell them, because I dont want to be the @sshole responsible for him killing themself or someone else. :shakes head:

And then the youtube kid who thought a phone book could stop a round from a Desert Eagle 50. He held the phonebook and had his gf shoot the Desert Eagle. He was just an @sshole!

I was referring to the BF. The S&W500 is a lot of gun for anyone to handle, much less someone that doesn’t know what to expect.

You hit the nail on the head, ONE round at a time.

Ah, I stand corrected! :tiphat: My brother used to work at an adult bookstore and they kept a loaded 45 under the counter. One of his co-workers started playing with it and was "playfully" flagging my brother. When he told me this, I wanted to just go find the dude and beat some sense into him! A good friend of mine's brother got his head blown off with a shotgun because the brother and a cousin were "playing" with it. :shakes head::shakes head::shakes head:
