No clue honestly. It's some form of lab grown plant based burger. But not a "veggie" burger. It's suppose to mimic that of real beef, but using plant proteins instead. I know White Castle and A&W started selling them at chains. I've been curious for a while so i'll be giving it a shot tonight. A lot of people have stated it tastes almost identical to a normal beef patty, so i'm excited to test it.

Ugh.... just got our emergency alert....This means we get lake effect AND the wicked heavy crap.

I'll keep you updated and post photos tonight. I plan to cook one plain, seasoned, and one baked. $5 for 8 ounces is pricey.

I just meant in terms of me cooking steaks or stuff frequently. Me showing off is completely different hahaha. My plating skills suck.

So after a little more googling. These burgers aren't meant to replace veggie burgers. They are protein formulated plant burgers that have a quality, texture, and taste of a 90% beef, 10% fat ground chuck beef burger. All lab grown and with no emissions, slaughter, etc. I think i'm more hyped for the science and environmental stance behind it more than the how the burger will taste.

All that reminds me of is the bug bricks the poor people ate in Snowpiercer followed by the evil guy in No Country For Old Men who used the cattle air gun on people to kill them.

Now i'm hungry. Going to pull a Madwi and get a Mt. Dew alongside a chicken quesadilla.

I dunno, Im with FP on this.. People try to intervene with nature to "help". They started farming Salmon, tuna and trout. Now farm raised fish are pretty toxic.
Theyve messed with Salmon DNA (i THINK it was modified DNA) so they could grow exponentially faster. Now theyve come out with lab grown meats. Who knows what the ramifications will be.

Actually it's kinda scary where science and technology is taking us.... I mean the next thing they might come up with is test tube babies, or maybe they will start cloning sheep...

Ah, the humanity.... :shakes head:

Only one way to find out!! If it leads me to an early grave, then my practice sleeping for when i'm dead will finally be put to the test!

Her reply... "as long as it's a 10" test tube... "
